Hi Tad! I think that it’s based on preference. Claw meat tends to be less sweet and its more potent and has a stronger flavor but its often used in appetizer dishes.
@@Natashaskitchen thanks. I have a can in the refrigerator that I accidentally purchased. It was right next to the lump crab and the cans looked nearly identical.
I use Swiss cheese instead of mozz cheese and still delish!

Will have to try this with imitation crab meat, allergic to lobster & crab....and I'm from Newfoundland, Canada where there's lobster a plenty....cruel mother nature.....cruel 🙁

Hi Natasha, I don't have an oven, can I make this in a stainless steel frying pan instead?
I have not tested this. I imagine you could melt it well but don’t know if it will have the same texture and you will not have the nice golden brown top.
