I was there a month ago. Liverpool is a very nice City. It was fun going round Penny Lane saying 'Hello' to people. I bought a memorial engraved stone for my mother. These are set flat along the path, of the new bandstand at Strawberry Field.
I am a Beatlemaniac from Belém/Pará/ Brazil since childhood. North of Brazil,. Amazônia.
Our ancestor long ago once owned that home where John lived.

Lennon probably felt that he maybe had that connection with orphaned children...he felt an empathy with...playing with them as a child .. conscious of losing his own mother and father perhaps...very touching..if that were the case..

I've been seeing that you've studied music production at Abbey Road, I'd love you to make a video talking about the techniques you've learned in terms of production, especially those that the Beatles used. I love it! My One "UNIQUE" QUESTION, though: Why is the Song in the Plural and not the Singular? Should it be STRAWBERRY FIELD (One Field of 1 STRAWBERY Plant?) FOREVER; rather than STRAWBERRY FIELDS (many Strawberry FIELDS!) FOREVER? How would JOHN LENON answer my QUESTION? Afterall, why was this Victorian Place named STRAWBERRY FIELD, anyway? I guess that's my second Question! How would any yet living Beatle (PAUL MC CARTNEY, RINGO) ANSWER? Was it that the PERSON or FAMILY that originally had it or even built it had STRAWBERRY as the Family PATRONYM? Or was the Lord of this House a great LOVER and GROWER of highly cultivated STRAWBERRIES? What's the Symbolism of First: The STRAWBERRY Itself (like the Tudor ROSE or The Plantagenet THISTLE?), Second, the Plurality of Strawberries in One Chosen Field, Third: The Plurality of Strawberry Fields? Being "A.S.K.", that is my INITIALS for "ALBERT STEPHEN KUNDRAT", No Wonder I'd "ASK" these QUESTIONS; for I grew up a CHILD of the 60s and 70s LOVING this Song! I had FUN planting STRAWBERRIES in the back yard of the Family Home, and always thought of JOHN LENNON's HIT when cultivating, picking, and EATING utterly delicious STRAWBERRIES, with DREAM WHIP Topping!
It is a shame they did not keep the old building. I know it looked unsafe and about to drop down, but you think someone as rich as Paul could pay to have it restored. Same as the Cavern. The replacements are just not the same. The Saville Row studio and the zebra crossing. All you get are pictures of how it used to be.
I heard that they have a shop with lots of items that are sold for charity? I hope to make it there soon.

Ahem! The title is Strawberry Fields Forever. Not Field's. Fwiw I lived just a short distance from here at the same time as John, and often played nearby.
It's so great that the monument of peace of Ukraine is going to the children home in strawberry Fields and what John Lennon , give peace a chance.in time for the Eurovision song contest.
I wish Lennon had put his cash into restoring the old building, it was a great bit of history. Like the Cavern, it should have been saved. There is nothing there but the gates!
