Several airlines have insisted they are "cracking down" on "already-existing rules", not "new" rules made. I'm in Canada, and I have been on two flights recently on WestJet, who says the "personal size" item is TINY, the size of a small purse (16 x 13 x 6 inches, which in cm is 31 x 15 x 33). I can't find a small backpack or tote that is that small, and even more annoying is the fact of when i put my bag under the seat in front of me, there was WAY more room - I could have EASILY fit a regular over-packed backpack under that. They are MESSING with us! 😆 Thanks for the video; I love your happy, amused voice narrating. Have a great week!
That's interesting information. Maybe WestJet was just thinking about your legroom? Haha. Seriously, that is pretty annoying. I'd love to know their reasoning? They can't just be MESSING with us...right? BTW so glad you enjoy the narration! Thank you so much for watching!

@smoothsketch you are correct. Delta has not and will not be changing their carry-on size limits. That is an error on our part and we apologize. There's no excuse for our faulty reporting. We can only promise to do better moving forward. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I think the Rimowa carry on agrees with you. It’s significantly lighter (4.9lbs) than almost any other bag but it’s also pretty pricey at $760. They must know something 🤔🤣
I found this one is small enough to be a personal under the seat bag but also has wheels, TPRC 15" underseater carry-on luggage with wheels w/ USB Port It is a decent bag for $50
Since many of our domestic airlines’ flight attendants jobs doesn't start until the plane’s door is closed they are not helping you with your carryon luggage, can you blame them.
I was bringing 4 bottles of Romanian cognac (duty free) back from Romania to the US. We had a flight change in Warsaw, Poland and they told me my carry-on was too heavy. So I transferred the bottles to my wife's carry-on as her carry-on bag weight had already been checked. They saw us doing it and didn't say a word to us.
Delta has been doing the advance gate check dance for a while now. Encountered it on a RT NYC-SFO trip in August. I'm okay with it as long as they don't charge me. At least the bags don't go through that luggage maze after the regular check-in. Oh, and ditch the creepy background music.
During editing, I've probably watched this video 10x or more and never once did the music strike me as creepy...BUT since your comment, I can see how it might come off as such. Maybe not all out creepy, but a little eerie for sure. Thanks for pointing that out. Next time it's gonna be at the top of my mind!
Hey, @rampar77 what do you think it should be counted as? Genuinely curious of your opinion! If it fits under the seat, it should be but if it's too big it should be counted as a carry-on, right? Thanks for watching and commenting and we hope you SUBSCRIBE for more!!
I think the other posters mean ScotteVest and uses the American usage of the word 'vest'. We don't fly anywhere any more. The train takes us to Madrid or the car takes us to the UK via the Channel Tunnel - no f-ing about with baggage restrictions.
Scotty Vest has been my hack for years, use to be a pain but with Clear, I can put many of my electronics in its various pockets and walk through boarding process, sometimes TSA takes a second look at it but In ever had to secondary screening. Only time I was called out while boarding was when I was using a Peak Design pack and the agent asked if I was a photographer, I said yes and they said we need to weigh that, i was .02 under the weight limit, after that flight I started using the vest
Well, hopefully your travels are seamless and don’t need our info. But if you do end up hitting some bumps at the airport, you can always come back and watch the whole video.
@@jeanettesee4214 thank you! We know that you can get most of this info anywhere on UA-cam. What's hard to find are entertaining videos. So glad you appreciate it!!!
Those EU "rules" are only advisory at the moment. You still need to check with your European (and UK) airlines for their specific sizes and weight allowances
Curious as to why EU rules would apply to UK. If I fly between the US and UK wouldn’t those countries dictate the rules? I understand if you are flying an EU based airline.
Your information is good. But what I really like is the sense of humor you deliver the information. Thanks, I had a few good laughs!

I just went on Delta site and it says carry on 22 x 14 x 9, no change down to 21

Good to be able to print your BPs online, however, you never know if there is a Gate change unless you checkin at counter⁉️
Great point. Always good to have redundancies!
Wow . This exactly what's needed for us non experienced travellers, thank you
You are so very welcome! Thank you for watching and commenting and we hope you have safe and exciting travels to come!
it’s the weight that will cause me problems. Need a bag that weighs less and still has wheels

Interesting take! Can you tell me where you got that info? Are you a current or former flight attendant?

Just pay the fee or get it paid by an airline credit card (or an American Express card). There's always first-class too.
If everyone could afford it, I would totally recommend a flight rewards credit card. Totally agree with you on that!
This is my last trip to Asia? They are killing the fatted geese! Thank God I traveled yrs ago!!!!
Where in Asia? Has travel become more cumbersome in your opinion?
Over size back pack should not be counted as personal item..

It is impossible to watch due to excessive junk
Sorry you feel that way.

Would you like to see us post videos about trains? It is a topic I've been considering for this channel.

Very cool recommendation! Great insight. Thanks for sharing and thank you for watching and commenting!
Too much filler! Just get to the point. I turned it off at the Mary Poppins clip.

probably needed to get the video over 10 minutes long... 🤷♂️

remember EU baggage rules apply to the UK.

Sounds like AI generated
I wish. It'd be less work for me.
took too long to get to the point. I'll read the airline's baggage rules posted on their webpage
Sorry you feel that way.
