I'm going to have to purchase a 9 cubic foot refrigerator freezer for the van. My German Shepherd eats raw chicken thighs or legs and cooked vegetables everyday the little one gets cooked vegetables and a little bit of fromm's Kibbles. There are lots of human foods that they can eat but there are also plenty that are dangerous for them. I haven't brought a grape home since I got my little dog 2 years ago because he would snatch it up before I could stop him if I dropped it. I did not realize, for awhile, that dogs are WAY more omnivorous than cats! My neighbor's rat terrier LOVES those small, sweet peppers! Cats are hunters and obligate carnivores which means they cannot survive without meat of some kind. Dogs on the other hand are natural scavengers so they are omnivores. Thinking about where domestic dogs and cats come from it really does make sense. It also kind of makes sense why dogs are so loyal to humans because they are pack animals and naturally care for their pack family. Big cats tend to be more independent (except for Lions who live in prides), cheetahs, panthers, leopards, etc tend to live a more solo life. Minus the time when the mother cat is raising her kittens. I think it is really important that more people know about how dogs and cats eat in the wild so they can better care for their furry family when they bring home a new pet. I’ve seen people make their cats really unhealthy by trying to put the on a vegan type of pet diet and I’ve seen dogs have health issues due to a lack of variety in their diet of only low quality kibble so it is really great that Nikki gives some insight to how and what she feeds her Camper pup! It really does help people to see a healthy happy doggy! ❤

We got our Boxer/Terrier mix from local shelter when she was 3 for our kids who were young at the time. They are now 18 very soon 19 and 16 soon 17. Roxie is now about 15 and the best dog ever had when we got her she was already housebroken. For years every day when I get home we share a can of Vienna Sausages and she can’t wait.
