- As lightweight tires age, the sidewalls can start leaking. Even new tires can leak from the sidewall.
Instead of manually rotating tires for hours trying to get them to seal, use this simple setup to automatically rotate the tires until they seal.
Basically, it's a small single chamber Rock Tumbler sold on Amazon or Harbor Freight for $49. Take a long 3/8 bolt and mount it at an angle on a piece of wood. Place wheel on the 3/8 bolt and it should lean to one side. Put the rock tumbler under the low side of side. Turn it over after an hour.
I just used some scrap wood to build it. Add some fresh sealant beforehand.

Nice idea. I do something similar, but I use a park tool wheel holder wh-1 and a fan to aimed at one side of the tire to get it to spin.
thanks for the idea did a good job copied your idea and used a pedestal fan and lay heel on its side
Smart. Good job dude.
nice idea but dang that's a a lot go gadget to solve a problem
Nice!
Ok, pricy & complicated setup... but big props for the idea. Worth $$ if ya do this a lot tho. Now I'm gonna see how I can create a cheaper version. Thanks for the idea!
not really complicated maybe a bit pricy
@@drwang699 I did the same thing, but used a variable speed drill with a 4" sanding pad. Worked great.
@@hillmakeitbetter hmm good idea
They shouldn't be leaking in first place, send them back! 🤦
