Lay is Chinese and at that time he was busy in China so he can't go back and be with EXO. Fans really hope to have him in their Don't Mess Up My Tempo album comeback but the arrival of Lay in South Korea was too late and all of the songs were already recorded so SM Entertainment decided to let Lay have a cameo on the MV instead assuring the fans that Lay is still part of EXO.
