The highest attendance overall is two Cortland-Ithaca games, one at MetLife Stadium with 45,161 in 2019 and one at Yankee Stadium with 40,232 in 2022. Third is St. John's -St. Thomas at Target Field in 2017 with 37,355. If the 2020 season hadn't have been cancelled the Johnnies and Tommies were scheduled to play their final game before St. Thomas moved up to D1 at US Bank Stadium and that almost certainly would have drawn over 60,000.
Tucci Stadium in Bloomington, Illinois is the home of the Illinois Wesleyan Titans was built in 1937 as a community stadium. It was host to baseball and football for years, and you can still see where the home plate would have been in the layout. It has great historic character and is a fun place to watch a football game. The team gets good community support, and the pep band is top notch.
My favorite thing about D3 Football is that you get some of the most lopsided scores in all of college football. Like Oberlin College (OH), who followed up a 74-0 loss with a 72-0 loss the next week. Or Hardin-Simmons (TX), who followed up a 73-21 win with a 90-7 win the next week....
