'Driftwood' - Eurorack Ambient (Laniakea, Lubadh, Arbhar, Hydrasynth)

- First proper eurorack patch with the new Laniakea module. I did use it in the last one, but there it was more an afterthought here it was the starting point and provides the main, slowly evolving chordal drone.
The rest of the musical patch is from an improvisation of different patches on the Hydrasynth, that I recorded into Lubadh, which is playing back the material at half speed.
The little noises/glitches are a recording I made on Arbhar, sent through Data Bender then through Nautilus.
Video shot on a Sony A6400. Editing and colour grading done in Da Vinci Resolve.

Thanks! I wouldn't mind doing more of that, but it's quite time consuming. We'll see, maybe I'll do some more. AI is making that easier and easier all the time.

Hi Pat, it would be really cool to rig a tracking/panning camera on a rail to roll over the top of the modular in smooth very slow passes so we can get close up views of all the beautiful modules, blinking lights, patch cords, and read the text and icons for all the knobs. It's all such wonderful modular synth heaven and I just want to float above it real slow taking it all in as the music drifts. Surely you have a photographer friend with that sort of gear who could do that? What do you think? If I did, I would do it for you just as a thank you for the bliss you give to us. Peace, Jim.

I just buy everything again brand new every two weeks! But seriously, I just use a couple of different dusters, a Befaco duster, a common barber brush (very soft bristles) and a ostrich feather duster (sometimes get caught in knobs/pots, but really nice). My main synth stands I keep covered with large drum kit covers

And I thought only us IT people we obsessed with equipment LEDs. Any server, router or switch rack I’ve built pales in comparison with this board set up. Really beautiful. Reminds me of some of the YT vids (MOOG JAM series ua-cam.com/video/x4-hfDmGNLo/v-deo.htmlsi=bNfzroEMUtvvreDi )Richard Patrick of Filter does, but obviously this takes the resulting music in a more chill direction. I’d love to see a video showing how all this equipment layers one by one to create the music.
