Awesome tour of chinatown and some of the residential areas too. We learned a lot about the areas. Wow didn't know it was that huge, 4th largest in America.
It's so cool, they have 12 zodiac statues in the square plaza and I see the rabbit one standing there too. I love how it lays out circling just like a globe. Thank you for taking us with you and happy scoot!

i thought it would be fun to show my partner in crime. we ended up eating at a different place in the area that i had been craving called manny's. it's just a few blocks north and west from chinatown. thank you! 🛴❤️
Another wonderful scoot Anne. I just love the China Towns. Fun fact, I knew how to eat with chopsticks before I could use a knife and fork. I was born in Hong Kong. I love that the old cobbles were there too. Beautiful area. Thanks for sharing.

@scootladychicago my Dad was on an overseas tour at the time. The family was there 1960-1966. I came along in 1962. Apparently, I used to speak Cantonese to the maid (every family had one), but my Dad banned Cantonese in the house. I find that sad as I was obviously doing something I enjoyed. I remember struggling with a knife and fork and being perplexed as to why this was banned. I still use chopsticks whenever I'm able. Dad sadly was the old Colonial type. At 93, he hasn't changed, sadly.
We've been back twice. Once on a far east cruise and once to stay in Hong Kong. We even found our old house. I can't remember anything really of my time in Hong Kong as a kid but it was nice to revisit and see with adult eyes.

hi em! it's always so nice to hear from you. i love a good general tso's chicken or kung pao pork. but dumplings at a great dim sum is my favorite! we ended up eating at a place a couple blocks north of chinatown that i had been craving. i am also lucky to have a great chinese spot in my neighborhood! big city life ftw. 😂 best to you and gary! 🛴❤️
A lovely day for a scoot. Some of those roads are pretty wide. If I was on a bike I'd be wondering if I'd make it across before the lights changes. Some nice decor in China town tho I thought I saw a pizza hut. I thought you was going to shout at the person driving the red car for pulling out on you 😊
