From what I understand, the problem with remodeling buildings in old downtowns is they are full of asbestos and it gets really expensive really quickly. I agree, they are very cool and we should figure out how to get it done.
i Missed to see ya. Butt your tour started were i Once cleaned, aprox 99 sites or clients, the court house for few months as simi retired custodial engineer. i finish to see if you stoped at me brothers rock shop and jewlery store; at county/farm road South to Candaleria the race route for Marfa 100. you seen my half dozen bikes on display along hiway 90.
@@GravelCyclist I totally understand. I grew up in NYC so when I moved to Jersey it took a second to get accustomed to it. Truth be told, I don’t miss the lingering smell of gasoline on my hands post fill-up. ☺️
Unfortunately no, I was in Marfa for one night only, super early start in the morning to attend the Red Bull Rio Grande event. Bad weather killed my inbound flight which was my one opportunity to see said lights.
One of my favorite places in the world!
Lovely town indeed!

This makes perfect sense, thanks for chiming in.

Love Marfa
I ran into you right after the Red Bull gravel ride.
How did you like the event? I bagged it at two laps of three, but had a good time regardless. I only wish the event was closer to Marfa itself.
@@GravelCyclist it was a lot harder than I anticipated. I DNF due to the heat and not drinking enough water. Hopefully I can redeem myself.
Don't beat yourself up about it. It hurt me as well. I was OK hydration wise, but lack of sleep (as usual) + dodgy legs = call it a day.
Yep, Jersey is full serve only.
The first time I filled up Jersey, I was like dafuq, dude, why the heck do you want my credit card and so on? :)

Did you get to see the Marfa lights??
