Edward's Monologue Fullmetal Alchemist

In the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime, each episode begins with a narration from Alphonse talking about equivalent exchange prior to the intro song playing. However, in the final episodes of the series this pre-intro narration changes to Edward talking about the philosopher's stone. The narration's background music gains a percussion beat and I thought this was a very fitting way to express the escalation in the show's plot as it reached its conclusion; the way it changed from Alphonse's longstanding narration about the confining law of alchemy into Edward talking about how they had now finally broken that law, the quest they had been on for the entire series.

To my understanding there actually is not a Japanese version of this, it was unique to the dub.

@@lunaticnomad0 I think Al says the same as this but in Japanese while in dub Ed says this about the philosopher stone near the end of the series but I watch the dub and I just watched some sub episodes to see and it sounds like Japanese VA al
