All male version of the Kander & Ebb classic - Cell Block Tango. From GMCLA's spring '05 concert. For more information on the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, please visit www.gmcla.org
I'm not sure if I would agree. This one is by far the best male version I've seen until now, actingwise, since as OP said, each actor has put their own spin and created particular personalities and quirks for the characters. As for it always being done well when played by guys... I've seen a lot of male versions of this song in which the actors are so gleeful about doing the number they like that there is little to no acting accompanying the delivery, or an overpronunciation of the more badass verses, which sometimes hurts the flow of what is suposed to be a lot of irony and self justification and not a single elongated "Yeah!" tone. Also, in most male versions, usually either all the actors create the exact same "I'm an strong sassy sexy woman" character or simply go for an exact copy of the personalities as given in the movie/stage. Here we had from manly to frail, from sassy to brooding, so there is a lot of range in character.

I love how there was a guy doing sign language as the different people were talking
Not only spectacular choral voices and arrangement but each featured character had impeccable comedic timing. 10/10
I love the southern accent❤️on that first guy
Being a Southerner I can vouch for its authenticity.😊💖
I love how each guy gives the characters so much energy and personality. They really did a great job. This is amazing.
i have watched 20 different performances of this song on youtube and I think gay men do this song better than women
