    I'm a dirt biker who is a newbie to snowmobiles on an '07 Summit 800 I bought for $650, rebuilt the engine, and have been ripping all winter... Really enjoying your content, and getting really stoked to upgrade next winter. Probably won't be a freshie, but I'm beginning to find my sled's limitations. Really cool to see how in tune with the machine all of these guys are!

    The ol sliding window. Hooks up wicked in POW. Packed trail getting there will destroy them in record time. Poo dude posted $1 a mile his track worked out at. Doo’s 3” 50 to 65km on the trail or it grenades in no time. Definitely worth the sacrifice where they take you. Running 3” since 2018 an the hook up is insane.

    Been riding a 23 9R 165 Khaos. Year before a 22 155 Pro. Both in the series 8 track. Great sleds but I've wanted something that gets on edge like the Khaos and get's up and forward like a Pro, and it's got to be a 155. Most days the 165 is just too long. I've been thinking about trying a 155 Khaos anyway and now this post persuaded me to show check the 3.2. I like the enthusiasm in the post. I had the same feeling in going from the 2.6 to the series 7 and the fact that they can tell the difference in those conditions seems right to me. I expect there to be some issue in thin snow but those days are just for riding with your pals anyway.

    Good day, Dan. I have a 23 boost 165 2.75 . The conditions I ride vary greatly from week to week. I find the 2.75 just doesn't have good traction in any conditions other than pow. It is absolutely horrible on downhill stuff. It's Luke the paddles fold over in set up snow or even spring snow. What would you recommend for all around good track. The 3 inch is much better in the conditions ride. My NA has a 3 inch and I almost want to ride it over my boost with the 2.75. Thanks.

      The guys ripping up the Jackson hole hill climb have to race with a 2.5" track I believe, I could be wrong. Spring time I wish I had a shorter lug track to dig in rather than fold and slide method with 3". Condition of snow and rider preference.

      Hey man yeah there’s sacrifices to nearly every track that I’ve ever ridden. The 2.75 is popular because it works “ok” in various conditions. The “2.6” was like that too. The new 325 is considered a “specific” track meaning it’s designed to work really well in deep snow (which I can 100% attest too) but also work decent in a variety of conditions. In my area the track hasn’t shown me one condition where I thought it didn’t work as well or better than any track I’ve used. At the end of the day tracks are a very opinionated component and since everyone certainly has one, it will ultimately be up to each rider. I’m liking it and have already built my sleds for next season with them.
      Ride safe! 🙏

    • @glauser24
      @glauser24 Рік тому

      @Next Level Riding Clinics thanks for your input. The 2.75 definitely isn't a horrible track. I absolutely love my series 7 3 inch. It works amazing in every condition I ride. I just can't tell if it's the track folding the lugs or if it's just the 3 5 pitch and less lug. All in all, the boost was the right choice. I absolutely love the sled. It's mind-blowing what this thing will do. The 165 2.75 slash tunnel compared to my short tunnel 163 3 inch 850 with a bikeman stage 2 is crazy different. At 5500 feet, the axys will eat everything on the hill. My boost has rekindled my fire and blows my mind every ride. Thanks Dan

    Did Polaris change the gear ratio to keep it below 50 mph since they recommended to keep it below that speed? Would it be a good idea to lower the gear ratio because of the heavier track and better traction? How slow can you crawl around with that sled? I know reentries, bow ties and hop overs look Kool and sell sleds. But most of the people I see out there are just trying to get around and not get stuck.

    • @dgreenbluet
      @dgreenbluet Рік тому

      There's a built in speed warning indicator. It also logs whenever you go over 50mph so the dealer can see if your abusing the track.

    • @NextLevelRidingClinics
      @NextLevelRidingClinics  Рік тому

      Hey bud thanks for the comment,
      The gear ratio didn’t change. The idea behind the 50 mph speed recommendation should be for all OEM’s. Mountain tracks get abused a ton on trail systems without most riders even thinking about it. The paddles fatigue throughout the season and if you are looking around as the snow melt’s towards springtime there’s typically torn paddles all over the trails…or at least in my area 🤷‍♂️
      The new track seems to be working really well with nearly every rider that’s been on it and like you stated, most of them aren’t doing all the gymnastics…they are just climbing hills and sidehilling. Again these videos are just meant to be helpful and fun, changing gearing isn’t something anyone of us have tried…but as we get are hands on them next season who knows.
      Ride safe! 🙏👍🙌👊

    • @MolsonM3
      @MolsonM3 Рік тому

      @@NextLevelRidingClinics Hey Dan, is that 50mph for trail speed via GPS or indicated track speed? I know when climbing in the deep snow I’m under that 50mph track speed…but when I watch my GoPro video I can see during some bow tie/re-entry the track speed goes over this.

    • @NextLevelRidingClinics
      @NextLevelRidingClinics  Рік тому +1

      @@MolsonM3 Hey bud I haven’t been told how it’s recognizing the 50 mph. What I would say is how much we’ve already been riding the sleds and it hasn’t effected us one bit. Besides putting a little focus into keeping things below around 63-6400 rpm on the trail so we aren’t causing the over speed it’s not a big change. In my opinion all mountain sleds with big paddles should maintain a slower speed so we don’t unknowingly destroy tracks. Our trail system is littered with paddles every year from too many riders going too fast on icy trails.
      Ride safe 🙏
