These students are tough and very bright. Instead of living paying off debts for years they sacrifice and I bet they will also be able to live frugal lives instead of a life of waste and debt.
    A life of discipline.
God Bless you and your families.

the veterans specifically picked out SF to get the most money (they got $4k+ a month instead of $1.5k a month in other cities), pay no tuition (since the community college is free for residents) and they're living in a van to pay no rent. They would still choose to live in a van even if housing was $750 a month. They're saving as much money as they can. Not a bad thing at all. Smart, but something you can only do if you're single.

I live in my car in Ohio. Main reason being that I have OCD. If this statement puzzles you, then you probably have no idea what OCD really is. And no, I do not drink, smoke, or use any drugs... never have. I am here watching my parents slowly kill themselves from stuff like that. Where I'm from, I didn't have much. The only thing that allowed me to have some pride is that I was always able to say no. Regardless of my current situation, I am not a victim. I do what I can. I also work full-time and stacking up money as I save about $1500+ a month by having no rent. Be safe and if you notice that someone needs help, they will remember your face for the rest of their lives.
