Hi Emiel, I totally agree with your opinion about Beaulieu. She is just Col. Parker 2.0. She was still on board of EPE when they approved dog collars and toilet paper with Elvis' likeness on it. How is that for honoring and protecting his memory and legacy? Or okaying Elvis Presley Whiskey. Everybody who knows anything about Elvis knows he wasn't a drinker and that both his parents had their issues with alcohol. Red West once said that Elvis would already get tipsy from smelling the cork of a wine bottle, LOL. He may have been addicted to prescription drugs, but he stayed away from alcohol. Anything for a buck.
She is his EX-wife who keeps on riding her dead EX husband's coattails and exploiting him more by now than that awful Col. Tom (Andreas van Kuijk) Parker has. Elvis and this woman got married on May 1, 1967. She left him in February 1972 because she had an affair with Mike Stone, a karate teacher. (Both Beaulieu and Elvis had extramarital affairs during their short marriage) Elvis filed for divorce on his 38th birthday, Jan. 8, 1973 and the divorce was finalized on October 9, 1973; that's HALF A CENTURY AGO THIS YEAR! In interviews between the divorce and Elvis' death, she described him pretty much as a has-been loser, absent/bad father and husband and adamantly stated she wanted to be known as Priscilla Beaulieu, to be her own person and that she was not Elvis Presley's property. She and Elvis separated 51 years ago and divorced 50 years ago coming October 9, 2023. Elvis did not mention this opportunist in his will AT ALL. Not as his ex-spouse, not as the mother/guardian of his only child Lisa Marie and certainly not by name.
Nobody had made up more fantasy facts in Elvis history than Beaulieu has. For instance: she falsely claimed to have been the one who brought the song "If I Can Dream" to Elvis' attention and she also claimed that SHE designed the TCB logo. It has become increasingly easy for her now that most who knew Elvis much longer than she did, have passed away. It is also much easier for her with so many gullible "Elvis" fans who do not know the real history of Elvis and who have, seemingly, turned into Beaulieu fans without them even noticing it.
The case that has now been settled is very telling of her true colors: Beaulieu wanted to remain a trustee against a fee. The case is settled that Riley becomes the full trustee and Riley will not charge for her services as a trustee; therefore, “the beneficiaries all save money that would have gone to Priscilla who was going to charge a trustee fee." Beaulieu was paid off in a lump sum. A very telling part of the settlement is "Upon approval of the settlement, Riley - who will also become the trustee of the sub-trusts for her 14-year-old twin sisters, Harper and Finley Lockwood - will safeguard and invest the money “in a manner consistent with the needs of the beneficiaries, and not influenced by the desire of a Trustee,” her lawyer, Justin Gold, wrote in the documents." That "Trustee" is clearly a reference to Beaulieu, whose desire it has increasingly been to embellish her role in Elvis history. It is and has always been a matter of money for the EX, from the very start on.
She must hold the record of stretching one's 15 minutes of fame for over half a century.
Hello jayeginn5963, Thank you for your comment and view. It is very well written and I can tell that you know your Elvis. I learned details that I was not aware of. So thank you for that. Do you think Priscilla overplayed her hand with this move? Will she be booed off stage if she shows up at an upcoming Elvis Week? Or are Elvis fans too sophisticated not to behave like this? In my opinion it really is bizarre to discuss and/or to claim a gravesite within a settlement! This should be about money and legal things..., but not about your place of burial! Finally...you are speaking about Priscilla Beaulieu instead of 'Presley'. Perhaps we should do that more often. I also talk about Tom Parker instead of Colonel Tom Parker...because he never was a Colonel! Maybe the time has come to de-Presley Priscilla. @@ElvisPress Hi Emiel, thank you for your quick response! I doubt if I know more about Elvis than you do. I can hardly keep up with all that's still happening around Elvis, releases wise. I have been increasingly concentrating on Beaulieu/Wagner ever since the release of the, spectacular yet flawed, Elvis movie last year. And by doing that, I got increasingly infuriated by her behavior. She is acting as if she is the oracle of all things Elvis; as if everything she says is fact and truth, which - as most real Elvis fans must know - unfortunately is quite the opposite and increases to be so: the more this woman (I'm sorry but I'm really disgusted by her) opens her mouth, the more lies spill out.
It is extremely unfortunate, though, that - especially - new(er) fans believe all the fantasy tales Beaulieu tells. And, even worse, even some of the older fans do, too. Like I said in my first post: some people have turned into Beaulieu fans without them realizing it. They buy into the "poor me, I'm a victim of Elvis" crap Beaulieu has been telling for years and gloss over the tons of inconsistencies that have arisen as time moved on and Beaulieu started changing her narritive, often contradicting supposed facts she told earlier. She's as glib as a used cars salesperson, because she can spin yarns like nobody, making those gullible people even believe her excuses for those contradictions. So, there are many people who claim to be Elvis fans who now defend her cheating on, and finally leaving Elvis "because Elvis cheated on her/she had no life/she tried everything/she had no choice" to (from the very book that is now - again - finding its way to the screen, "Elvis and me") "she had to, he raped her". These are the people who also adamantly claim she and Elvis continued loving each other and were best friends until his death and would have remarried had he not died. (sigh, shaking my head here).
But: there is light at the end of the tunnel, because indeed the revolt against Beaulieu and her lies also seems to be growing, especially since her behavior after Lisa's passing. Quite a number of Elvis fans (even some who were admirers of Beaulieu) are now sick of her, say she ceased being a Presley in 1973, was (contrary to what she's always claimed about herself) not a good mother to Lisa, was only in it for the money and yes, could be buried at Graceland, but only under a pile of horse manure down by the stables!
I personally think - after reading tons of books, seeing tons of documentaries and interview clips with everybody who was ever close to Elvis in any capacity - that Elvis was as much duped by Andreas van Kuijck as Col. Tom Parker, as he was by Priscilla Beaulieu (nee Wagner) and her mother/stepfather. I think the Beaulieus would not have let little Priscilla go out to parties of a 10 year older soldier, when she was 14, if that soldier had been Elvis Presley, truckdriver learning to be an electrician. I think they looked away from the age difference, because he was Elvis Presley, world famous and (for those days) filthy rich superstar. Remember: Beaulieu has always claimed that Elvis had promised to marry her at 21, yet it took a visit from Parker, Priscilla and her parents to a movie set shortly before she would turn 22 to remind Elvis of said "promise". I tend to believe the theory that he was blackmailed into marrying her to prevent a scandal like with Jerry Lee Lewis (who married his 13-year-old cousin). And I think that hung over Elvis' head for the rest of his life, at least over the time they were married.

I was also impressed with that wording Riley's lawyer wrote, about "Priscilla who was going to charge a trustee fee." Nice dig there, and the meaning is clear. However, it isn't completely accurate to say that Priscilla was paid off in a lump sum, because she could actually be getting even more with the settlement than she did before! Besides the one million dollar lump sum, she is also Trustee for Navarone's subtrust, for which she is being paid (as Riley's lawyer predicted). She is also now named as "Special Advisor" to the Trust, for which she will also be paid a monthly fee. And of course, worst of all, she also gets the right to be buried at Graceland, which she has said in the past she did not want and did not expect!
Riley gave up too much. When the negotiation started, it was widely reported that Priscilla asked for the right to be buried there, and it was immediately and flat out denied. Then, as time went on, Riley conceded. I believe that Priscilla dug her heels in, and said that was a deal breaker; that if that was off the table, there could be no agreement. If it had been me, I would never have conceded on that point, and would have called her bluff, because there's no way Priscilla would walk way from more potential profit.
For me, Priscilla's press release right after the agreement says it all - it sums up exactly what she is all about. "Moreover, she mentioned that the petition filed in January, two weeks after the passing of her daughter Lisa Marie Presley, was “misconstrued” as “a ‘fight’ over my beloved daughter’s trust. Moreover, she fired the law firm that filed the petition." She FIRED THE LAW FIRM!! Why? She said herself, people "misconstrued" her court action as a lawsuit against her granddaughter, which is exactly what it was! Since this caused so many people to be appalled at her actions, her solution was to fire her legal team! They were acting on HER instructions, but she didn't like the bad press, so she tried to blame it on them! This is the action of a narcissist who doesn't care who gets the blame, as long as it isn't her. She must think we're stupid! Lawyers don't take action on their own, they work for their clients.

I won’t be seeing the “Priscilla” movie. I appreciate her efforts to have Graceland opened to the public but since then, it’s always been about the money. Maybe she should have gotten a real job like most people instead of living off Elvis’ name. She is the ex-wife, not the widow and should not be buried at Graceland.

Priscilla shld not be buried next to Elvis. She had a 22 year relationship with Marco, her son's daddy far longer than her relationship with Elvis.We seem to forget she left Elvis. She shld be buried next to Marco & her son or next to her mom & dad. I will not go see her movie because I feel she will make herself look good & bring to life all of Elvis bad moments. He is human & has bad moments like the rest of us. Why do this movie after the great Elvis movie. He is dead & can't defend his self which he really shouldn't have to . Pls let him rest in peace. It's hard to believe the judge may approve of this settlement. There are 2 minor children here that are being ripped off by grandma. The million dollars is supposed to be paid out of their life insurance!

Well, it really is hard to comment on this monthly commentary. But first and foremost I would like to say please don’t stop producing these!! You are so knowledgeable about so much!

Third, I am so disgusted with the news of Priscilla getting her way about being buried at Graceland! You were so right (I used these words myself) about her being a gold digger!! Fine she has profited so much, too much, off of Elvis that it is sickening!! But to have her buried there is simply outrageous!!!! Ya, I’m not thinking that all of Elvis fans will be appreciative of her being buried there! I think she overplayed her cards with the Elvis fans with this move of hers. And on the other hand, I think Riley took the side of least resistance. Priscilla has dug in her heels and Riley has avoided the fight for the sake of peace. The crazy thing is that now I can only hope that Priscilla will live for a while to correct this mistake. :-0. Because it's still a weird story! Why discuss your place of burial when it comes to the future of Graceland? People come from all over the world to Graceland to see Elvis' grave, among other things. And not Lisa's, Ben's or Priscilla's. It would be best if there were no burials at all at Graceland anymore. Because where does it stop? I agree with you Emiel, I can't believe Priscilla's actions. I think she's losing her mind, literally. I can't forget how she told everyone to sing Happy Birthday in August, at last year's Elvis Week. It looks like Riley gave up too much, and gave in too quickly. Buried at Graceland? Why? She never lived there again after she left, and she isn't his widow. She didn't want to be with him in life, so why should she be with him in death?
I'm hoping there's a legal loophole in that settlement that would allow Riley to deny her being buried there when the time comes. Of course, that assumes that Priscilla will actually die one day, which is doubtful - she'll probably outlive everyone. Why doesn't she write a book about Marco? She was with him much longer than she was with Elvis - of course I realize no one is interested in him so it isn't a lucrative venture.

Yeah, that Happy Birthday action of her was also one of her bizarre actions. She should not be on a stage addressing the crowds when you make mistakes like that. I also think that Riley probably chose the least resistance and agreed to keep her relationship with her grandmother. In my view there should not be any burials at Graceland anymore.
About that loophole..., well from what I heard is that the settlement must still be approved by a judge. But whether it will reject the settlement... I don't know. What I do know is that it is quite unusual to include a gravesite request in an agreement. Or is that something quite common in America???

I agree 100% with your comments about Riley. She is still her grandmother, and what an awkward position to be in after only a few months of her mother’s unexpected passing.
I think Marco should write a book and reveal the dodgy dealings he witnessed. Lisa and him were at one stage in talks regarding the fact he witnessed Cilla plotting to extract more money. Some how he was gagged

Suzanne Finstad had announced publicly that she was working on a follow up book to "Child Bride" with a lot of new info, but right after that it was never mentioned again. Suzanne Finstad hasn't had anything to say since then.
I was hoping that Lisa's book would be published- that's one book I would love to read! She had been working with a ghost writer when she died, although we don't know how much they had written, but they had been working together for a few months. I'm guessing that book will never see the light of day.

Trivia answer possibility #1. There were two different versions of each song recorded (Take Me To The Fair was listed as Take Me To The Fair #2) and both "One Broken Heart" and 'Happy Ending" also had alternate "movie versions". However 'How Would You Like To Be' only had the one main version.
Since we know that one of your possibilities is correct, I think it must be either possibility number one or number five. When Emiel said it's the most difficult, my first thought was - it must have something to do with the writers - not that my opinion matters in this - as I said, I never know the Trivia answer.
They said priscilla will not be buried at graceland. Special adviser was a page right out of parkers book.

Many people have no idea how much time it takes to produce a video ( searching news, searching photos, writing texts, speaking, editing, etc. ) . And what people don't know is that I am a stutterer. It really takes a lot of time to record a stammer free take, which makes the process even longer. (Especially the video footage of me can take up to 10 takes until I am satisfied with the result. So yes...it can be disheartening to see the number of views drop. But to cut a long story short: The fans have heard my call and they all took action. Riley, being also a Scientology follower, has really disappointed me with her decisions. I for one will not visit Graceland if P'zilla Beaulieu ends up being buried alongside EP and his family. Absolutely disappointed and I'm sure EP, his parents, and Lisa Marie are rolling over in their graves over the intentional disrespect. Perhaps, Riley is not deserving of EP's legacy and fortune....especially, with Scientology pulling strings in the background. Poor EP, the betrayal continues ☹️
