Especially, INTERMITTENTS! Many times before retirement, I used my old Fluke 98 2 channel scope. It was a lifesaver. And an intermittent circuit locater! Now I'm starting to learn on my Pico scope. All I can say is WOW!
I have an old Snap On vantage pro 2 handheld 2 channel scope I bought off eBay years ago. Its outdated, but the general scope still works just fine. I just used it yesterday to rule out can bus lines on a no com case. Without it, I would have been in the dark. I would like to upgrade, BUT don't want to mess with a laptop scope or want to spend the $ for a tool I use maybe once a month.
I don't know that the scope can be considered a backhoe. In fact it makes finding the results even easier which would better equate to the shovel in this case 🤔

Check out the Micsig scope (automotive version).it's a gun 🔫.very good value.
