    Hi Fritz - been enjoying your channel. There are a lot of moments where I just nod my head and am like "yup, totally relate, I'd do exactly the same thing, this kid's going places!". Regardless it's cool to see my own strategies vindicated a little bit.
    You brought up something I like to call "app manipulation" - that is, strategically using the confirm pickup buttons, etc., to keep customer expectations in line with actually delivery time. There's definitely a moral question of how long you would keep someone waiting, but my rule of thumb is just not to stack things any "worse" than the app would. For example, Uber has NO problem making customers wait an extra 20 minutes when they stack on additional orders, and I've seen triple stacks on Uber where the customer whose food was prepared first, AND who was closest to the restaurant, received their order last 😂. Another thing to consider is that a customer's food is better off in your hot bag than on the restaurant counter - so yeah, if they gotta wait an extra 10 minutes so I can pick up another order on route, they're probably better off than if I unassigned it and they had to wait for another driver to show up. Regardless, actually REMEMBER not to confirm pickup (I made that mistake yesterday and had a customer up my ass while I was waiting 5 minutes for another order).
    Another small thing you might want to add - I recommend actually placing orders on the apps yourself and observing what can be seen from the customer point of view firsthand. For example, I noticed that when the driver has a stacked order at multiple restaurants on Uber Eats, the customer cannot see the driver position while they are on the way to the next pickup - it just shows a geodesic line from one restaurant to the other. Uber also shows a "latest delivery time" which is typically 20 minutes later than the expected one.
    Keep on keeping on!

      Hey Brandon,
      I’m glad you enjoyed! I really like the last point you mention about uber stacks and the customers POV. That’s really good to know for those of us that are trying to stack orders. Also yes remembering to not confirm is a huge part of this strategy. So far I really haven’t had any customers up my ass. There was one who noticed I was making another drop before since I had confirmed pickup since they were quite literally in the buildings next to each other, but he was super cool.
      Thanks for watching, and for the feedback! 👍

    Before you pick up the restaurant the customer can see where your at all times. You have to pay attention to the deliver by times. The short trips on doordash, ive seen it less than 10 minutes. I was about to do 4 orders at once, 2 on UE and 2 on doordash, but i had to cancel my 2 orders from chipotle because they were incredibly slow and only had one person making all the delivery orders.

  • @dasherbenj

    Great tips! I would add utilizing the Para app.
    Once I accept a DoorDash order I like to use time at stoplights or wait time at restaurants, to memorize which direction the order is taking me and my route there, so that should an Uber Eats order come up, I can quickly assess whether it'll stack well with the DoorDash order.
    The Para app lets you see the full dropoff address on Uber orders, so if in doubt I can type the address into Google Maps and evaluate whether it'll go with the DoorDash order. And if not I can simply cancel the Uber Eats order.

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому +3

      Para is such a helpful tool when it comes to multi apping. I actually made a video about seeing full transparency using a glitch involving Para since uber required me to accept 3/10 orders to see dropoff locations for months. Thank you for watching, and for the feedback! 👍

    3:24 It's a small point but I interpret this sentence a little differently.
    I think Doordash means if your cancellation rate is under 80% after 20 deliveries TOTAL. Lifetime. They only need a sample size of 20.

    Uber Eats doesn’t let you see customers instructions until after you’ve market as picked up, such as grabbing extra condiments etc. from the restaurant. What do you do when you mark it complete pickup and you have already left the restaurant??

    • @FritzMorris

      If customers are putting instructions like “please grab extra ketchup” in the delivery notes it’s not something I can ever really help them with unfortunately. Have you heard of swipe up? Swipe up makes it where it “freezes” where you’re at I do this with UE lots. I would pick it up, swipe up so it would freeze to pick up. It’s easy to stack Shipt and Point Pickup orders. Try to deliver the Uber first if you can. On dirty doubles Uber gives you less time that DD and if you’re driving far DD gives you ample time

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  10 місяців тому

      No, I’ve never heard of that but now you’ve got me interested… Is that an app you are talking about or do you have an older iPhone with the swipe up menu on it?

    • @JamesWilson-sb9iq
      @JamesWilson-sb9iq 10 місяців тому +1

      @@FritzMorris I have an I phone 13 and it’s hard to explain but when you have all of your apps out and swipe up the app you want it freezes the GPS. I could pick up at a restaurant let’s say UE and then go to DD restaurant but instead of putting that I acknowledge the delivery I swipe up, freeze the GPS and pick up the Doordash. I can also do it in reverse but the issue is that even though you state that you made it at the restaurant for Doordash the moment you swipe up it refreshes it and even though you put that you arrived it no longer recognizes it and you could get a CV if it’s more than 9 minutes. Another thing when you swipe up is when you’re taking a dirty double and you just swipe up to freeze the gps so the customer doesn’t see where you’re going. This is good for dirties where you have to go into 2 neighborhoods that require a few turns and it’s obvious to a customer who’s tracking you that you made a stop. Customers don’t like that so I freeze it. The way I know it works is that they would say that I’m tracking you and you just stopped on the highway and then I saw you close by and felt relieved. I just tell them it’s probably a glitch and it works everytime! Oh and I’m rarely late for UE or DD and I always make it on time. DD gives you more time to deliver, however I don’t think it’s the same time on the customers phone while UE is the exact time they are expecting and it’s MUCH stricter. That’s why you try to deliver the UE first because of that and that they can take the tip away. When I do dirty doubles and triples I always pause until I’m about 2 miles or less away from my last destination. I don’t want to pick up anything extra while I’m on a dirty double or triple. I say to myself I am going to deliver all of these before I do anything else. This keeps my ratings up

    • @FritzMorris

      @@JamesWilson-sb9iq It sounds like you really got a good system working for you. There’s some really really good advice in there for any new viewers that happen to stumble across this video. Just like you, I also preach that you take UE first mainly due to the ability to tip bait, but also because the dropoff time on doordash is super easy to manipulate. Another great piece of advice you had is to have your excuse ready incase a customer does track you. I almost always go with “it was probably just a glitch” 😂
      Good luck out there man 👍😎

    Yes but here in nyc there. Is restaurant that wants u to click confirmed when getting to the restaurant. I dont want to be arguing with this people. But will try the strategy of not confirming until the other is good but is little hard.

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому

      Yes it certainly depends on the market. I recommend when they ask you to confirm, you click confirm for them, but don’t actually confirm it. On doordash you have to actually press confirm twice for it to switch to the delivery screen. Maybe try to be sneaky and just show them the first click, then wait to actually confirm it once you have your stack picked up 😂👍

      Yea the only option then is to try to fake it 😂 I’ve had to do that a few times. One time at Chick-fil-A they noticed I confirmed on Uber when it was supposed to confirm on Doordash and they made me confirm em both. I got lucky that they were right on route otherwise one of my customers would’ve likely said something.

    Won’t door dash know you confirmed after you left the place because of gps?

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому +1

      The key to my strategy is to not confirm pickup until you’re ready to do that delivery. I typically do Uber orders first as customers can remove tips, and I’ve found it very easy to manipulate drop off times on Doordash by simply just delaying when I confirm the pickup. 👍

  • @Rontheanchorman
    @Rontheanchorman Рік тому +1

    Hey bro hope your well ? Have you been getting out there much. I've been putting your strategy to full affect in my market and it's been fun but it's also been, let's just say "eventful" I won't go into the details but I'm sure you can imagine. Haha . Main problem I'm having, if I don't confirm pick up on all the orders straight away, I'm getting texts and calls from the customer and even the merchants asking "you haven't confirmed pick up, "where are you going" , etc etc" any advice ?

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому +3

      Hey man good to hear from you. I’ve been super busy with school work the last few weeks. I just recently started back up so I’m trying to get settled in. I haven’t been going out much, but when I do it’s been pretty slow. This last Wednesday I went out without the camera and had a pretty solid day, but the lunch rush only goes for 2 hours now… I used to be able to push it for at least 3.5 hours.
      It’s very interesting to hear that merchants reach out to you aswell. I’ve had customers reach out to me before, but never a merchant. The best excuse you can have is that you’re picking up another order, as it’s true, and customers usually know about stacked orders. Just say something like, “Im currently waiting on my second pickup. Doordash sent me 2 orders, but I will be on the way asap.” I don’t lie to them since they can obviously see where we are if they are that type of customer who really cares, in hopes that they just assume it’s an app glitch on their end (for not displaying the fact that you’re picking up another order since that order is on a different platform…) I mentioned in the video, I prioritize my uber eats drops 99% of the time since they have the ability to remove tips. If you wait past the doordash pickup time and mark the order as being prepared, the worst that can happen is a slightly unhappy customer… you shouldn’t see any negative ratings. If done right, you really shouldn’t receive calls and texts from customers. Maybe my market is different, that’s always a possibility, but if you’re making close drops the customer typically won’t notice. I also primarily deliver to businesses. Those customers are typically working and not checking their phone, which makes it way less stressful for me. I hope all of that makes sense! 👍💰

    • @Rontheanchorman
      @Rontheanchorman Рік тому +1

      @@FritzMorris yeah thanks man, makes sense about the businesses. I deliver mostly at night to residential so a lot are watching their phone. It happens if I haven't confirmed pick-up and I'm on way to the first drop, or if I'm close to a drop heading north for example and accept another order as I'm driving past a restaurant. I'll accept that order and continue north to my drop for 3-4 minutes and then head back south for the pick up. I try and always be only a few minutes away from my pick ups especially with dd and always adhere to my pick up and drop times.
      If it's going to take too long or its too risky I won't accept it or I'll un-asign.
      Had a 2x2 double stack line up perfectly the other night but chickened out and made it a triple instead. 😂 I've done a few triples and f**K the adrenaline is going, running around like a headless chook ! and then I smash it on time and it feels great. - sigh of relief ! 😂 Haha
      I live on the east coast near the beach so most of my stacks are either going north or south, so I think it will be better if I just confirm all the pick ups when I'm on my way. They can see where I am anyway and most drops will always be close and on time. I'm probably being paranoid but I'll just be up front and honest. My driver rating is excellent and I always give top service which def helps when you're running a bit late !
      I'm just annoyed we don't get much tips, no matter how hard I try, I can't make more than $23-$25 hour

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому +1

      @@Rontheanchorman haha that’s awesome. It sounds like you’re working in a very similar way to me. It’s all about efficiency when you start stacking up 3+ orders 😂
      I’d say at least 70% of my income doing this is tips. That must just be a market difference. If you have to rely on primarily base pay then it sounds like the only way you’d be able to break that $25 an hour barrier is to increase your orders per hour. I truly think that your hourly will increase over time as you get better and better at multi apping. I hope you keep me posted on how it’s going out there. 👍

      @@FritzMorris haven't done more than 3 yet too nervous bro 😂 I'm pretty much doing exactly what you taught me. Staying within 2-3 miles of my zone and rarely pausing my apps accepting and declining all the time. Only time i might pause is when it's super busy I'm trying to find my drop and there are just way to many orders coming in.
      I'm recognising those stack opportunities, when they come up more and more every day and im pretty proud of myself when it pays off 😂
      I wanted to ask you, sometimes I feel I'm pushing the limit with cancellation rate, pick up and drop off times.
      With doordash it's easy to monitor but with UE , we have no idea so how do you know ? I lose track of time sometimes

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому +1

      @@Rontheanchorman You can cancel as much as you want on Uber eats, unlike Doordash. As with being on time to uber drops, they recently implemented an expected arrival time in my market. It’s super nice for multi apping, as it’s just reassurance that you aren’t running behind. I’m pretty sure the arrival time isn’t global yet, I’m not sure if it’s even in all of the States yet. You just gotta be smart with the uber drops, but I’ve noticed they always give me way more than enough time to get the order dropped off. Uber seems to be way less strict with cancelation and drop off times. I think I already mentioned in the previous comment but I almost always prioritize my uber eats drop offs first, then go to doordash… But, if you’re accepting orders that are all base pay maybe that’s significantly less relevant for you. (Just experiment with different variations and see what works best in your market.)
      And I totally get that feeling of relief when you get that 3rd order dropped off with no problems. 😂 I find that the adrenaline is always there even after having multi apped for years. There’s nothing like doing what you know you aren’t supposed to and seeing it payoff. 💰

    How do you pause on both apps (DoorDash and Ubereats)?

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому

      On uber eats there is a little coffee logo on the bottom right. If you click that it’ll pause your requests until you click it again. On doordash you click on the 3 bars on the top left and click pause dash. It’ll give you 30 minutes of pause until it automatically ends your dash. Just make sure to resume your dash before that time window if you want to keep your shift! 👍

    How much are u currently making with food delivery in 2023 compare to the same time in 2022, 2021 and 2020?

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  7 місяців тому

      My stats won’t give you a great idea since I only do this part time but I’ve been doing very well so far. I haven’t been doing much doordash or uber, I’ve mostly been doing EzCater.
      I’ve definitely noticed delivery volume on doordash and uber has fallen way off in comparison to covid times, so I’m sure if I was a full timer sticking to just doordash and uber I would be making less than back then, but there’s certainly still money out there if you know how to find it. 👍
      (I aim for $500+ a week and only work max 10 hours. I know it sounds like an unreasonable hourly but wait for my video coming out on Monday 😂)

      @@FritzMorris since you are doing part time…how are much are you averaging per hour in 2023 vs 2022 vs 2021 vs 2020?

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  7 місяців тому

      I’d say it’s improved over time as I’ve gotten on more apps. In 2020 I’d say I made roughly $20-25/hr. 2021 roughly $25-30. 2022 is when I really feel like I mastered multi apping, and probably averaged $35+. Nowadays doing strictly EzCater in 2023, it probably hovers around $45+.
      Like I said, I feel as though order volume has been steadily decreasing year over year but that doesn’t mean there isn’t money to be made.

      Very minimal. I did a bit at the start of the year, that’s when I made this video. As soon as I turned 21 in June though I’ve been sticking to Amazon Flex and EzCater. 👍

    When waitimg on restaurant and the food is complete they usually ask u to confirm here in nyc so is little hard to do the strategy. I dont want to argue with this crazy people

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому

      Every once and awhile the restaurants here will ask me to confirm too. In the past, Chopt, and Chick-fil-A would make me confirm 9 times out of 10, but nowadays I have a relationship with the staff. I feel like the managers start to recognize the dashers that are in there everyday, and I no longer have to confirm. It’s a shame when they ask for you to confirm, as that does make it significantly harder to stack up orders. Good luck out there! 👍

    is it worth getting a tablet, ipad, or zfold pone for more screen real estate?

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому +1

      Personally I’m using an IPhone 12. Androids have a lot more apps available like the driver utility app to give you more info about orders, but that’s the only upside I see in them. I don’t think a bigger screen is necessary, although something that would be very cool would be a phone that allowed you to split screen; having Doordash on one half and Uber on the other… personally I just swipe between apps whenever I get a notification that one of them is sending me an order, and that works fine for me!

    • @Logan-vk2lg

      @@FritzMorris Ok, cool i was actually considering the iphone 12. i was also considering the zfold that allows you to basically have 2screen apps open at one time like you just mentioned. i am going to use my motorcycle to commute. do you get notifications while your driving and just add to what you already have while your on the move? thanks

    • @FritzMorris
      @FritzMorris  Рік тому +2

      @@Logan-vk2lg that’s exactly right. It’s slightly dangerous especially during peak hours since you’ll always have notifications coming in, buts that exactly how I do it. I’ll be anywhere from 2 min to 5 min away from a dropoff and be looking for notifications from the other apps to get my next order lined up. This gives the restaurant more time to have the food ready so you can get there, get it picked up, and keep on moving. 👍

    Yo! I've been multi apping for almost 2 years. It's definitely a skill that I had to learn and get better at over time.
    Question: Do you know of a GPS app that can help organize my routes?
    Reason: I will sometimes have 4 to 6 orders at a time. My best strategy is to complete the orders I have confirmed pickup. So if I start with the doordash orders I need to complete both of them before confirming pickup on GrubHub or vice versa. If I had an app that I could enter the addresses into and it would order the drop offs efficiently that would be awesome.
