My childhood hero forever and always! I will always love Steve and Blue's Clues ❤️😊 I always thought it was awesome how he never spoke to kids like they were stupid.
Thanks for posting, awesome! I started watching Blues Clues with my daughter back in 2002/2003 and by that time Joe was doing the show. When I'd see Steve doing the show, I thought he was a new guy, until I found out that he was the original host. Great show, brilliant people who came up with the show concept!
I do have to say that those panelist got Mr. Rogers wrong. Mr. Rogers never babied his child audiences. He spoke in his natural voice and his natural way of expressing himself to both kids and adults. He didn't have a creepy energy imo but did kind of have a slower, older gentleman calm to him that may not be as fast paced as Steve. As Steve rebutted, Mr.Rogers was a genius but Steve may have given into to conforming to the comments about him (though I feel he didn't really agree with what they were saying overall).
@HollylovesTrent i no how it feels, im 15, and i watch some cartoons for preschool. I watch blues clues, handy manny, little ensteins, and almost every kid show that was on tv in my 15 years. So dont feel bad.
They still air it with Joe,i believe. I still wonder what it would be like if steve would still be on blues clues, i mean he would be bald, and maybe taller
The whole reason why Steve Burns left Blue's Clues and got Donovan Patton to replace him was because Steve was losing his hair fast, and he did not want the kids watching Blue's Clues or acting in Blue's Clues to see him go bald. June 8, 2020, 3:09pm
@lilacwinteraire So let me get this straight. He went around telling everyone he left because he wanted to pursue a musical career, yet he only told your dad that it was some huge thing where Nick screwed him over?Doesnt match up.His album isnt connected to BC,but it does connect to the fact that he wanted to be a musician.Which...is why he left BC.Also, what other instances has Nick been "notorious" for ripping people off?Btw,if you mention Caitlin Sanchez with Dora, she dropped the lawsuit/claims.
@kforkarson I don't have all the answers.. All I know is that my dad's friend told me this. It's true that he was always interested in music, and I think it's awesome he pursued it. And Nick is notorious from it because my dad, a voiceover, who worked for them for years, knew a lot of people in the industry. Just because Caitlin dropped charges doesn't mean it wasn't true. Listen, I'm not saying that this whole ordeal was the one reason Steve didn't pursue the job.. I AM saying that it happened.

aww i feel bad i usted to watch this when i was little
and i was obsessed with steve
Steve might've found Mr. Rogers disturbing as a child but later in Steve's life he referenced a lot of Mr. Rogers for his role on Blue's Clues.
I don't think he meant that, I think he was just saying that because the panelists were
his facial expression at 3:59 was fantastic... i love him forever.
I loved Steve then.
I love Steve now.
"I say, Hi do you ever watch children's television?"
6:28
Speaking of DISTURBING... Steve's expression at 3:59; his eyes are like "WTF!"
well I've got you all beat. I'm 27 and enjoy watching this show with my 7 month old son.
I WANT STEVE BACK!
13 years later.... He is back 🙂
I would love to meet this guy
LOL Steve's face at 3:55
Steve Burns. Is. My favorite host
(sees the airdate)
Huh. You'd think they would wait until AFTER Steve went to college to start claiming his death. XD
Steve from Blue's Clues
I miss Steve :[
I like Steve Burns
Me too.
He went to my school! Im not joking!
Were you friends with him
steve is the man
How could we go wrong with Steve from Blue’s Clues?

Although I've seen clips of the earliest seasons. The show started in 1968 and he was only 40, so as a younger guy, he did seem more perky back then.
hes so cool :3
wow... interesting how life just goes on... blue clues were good times, very good times...
And this comment is now 10 years old. Time flies
@@musyrifo wow...
@@RyaZila oh my god you actually replied. I didn't expect that
@@musyrifo well, I'm still alive 10 years later.

So thats why play school was thought to be politically incorrect.
So funny!!!
If you are wondering this was taken in October in 2000
Yeah same here, Steve was sooooooo much better
The show is completely gone (same thing happened to Blues Room which is a spinoff to Blues Clues)
cutemimi25 the show is coming back

Tony Martin is so funny! "all our hosts are on the gear"
that play school "making babies" clip... I quite became curious of what episode it was XD

@kforkarson Let's just drop this.. I just realized we are debating about Steve from Blue's Clues and literally burst out laughing.

They still air it with Joe,i believe.

Hahahaha .... YOUR FACE IN THE SECOND 0:13
@lilacwinteraire There is a documentary about it, plus he has released an album. Conspiracies are cool too though...
In honor of Blue's Clues' host, all periods will now be called Steves! JK, they are actually called Steves because of the Steve from American Dad.
@kforkarson actually, my dad knows him. Documentaries are cool too though... Wait, how is his album connected to Blue's Clues?
@kforkarson actually, Nick screwed him over and he threatened to quit, and they went and hired someone else. Nickelodeon is notorious for doing that.
lilacwinteraire he quit the show to focus on his music career the creators even acknowledged this in multiple interviews.
When did this air?
October 2000

He Is From Blue’s Clues You Clearly Must Never Even Watched Him Back Then As A Kid In The 90s That You Know Nothing About Blue’s Clues
