NEVER go simply by time, advising 5 minutes is very dangerous! If the chicken is straight from the fridge it will take much longer to cook, always use an instant read thermometer and only remove the chicken once it reaches an internal temperature of 165.
Just some friendly tips: -Never go entirely off of time because different pieces take different times to cook. Instead wait until the chicken has an internal temp of 165 degrees (F). -Marinade the chicken beforehand for at least 2 hours (that’s what works best for me). Other than that, the chicken looks great.
@@roxannethomas7302 for me, I like using some blended chilli (seeds either in or out doesn’t matter) and a mix of hot sauce and some buttermilk, but you can use other things as well.

Let your chicken set for about 10 minutes after your coat before frying. It will help the flour bind to chicken

@@willbutler2639 If your dad doesn’t like it spicy you could use another base for the marinade. I’d advise googling it.
@@willbutler2639 Buttermilk with any spice blend your father likes. But Buttermilk is the main ingredient.( I reserve it for making gravy)

I fried chicken the other night for the first time and the video said 12-14 minutes and it was overcooked.7-8 min seems to be the sweet spot.

I boiled it for two minutes first then coated it was perfect
