No American goes into battle without air supremacy. But if this somehow happened, if one divison of marines can take down 15000+ Chinese soldiers without support, I’m sure they can clap the mongols. The American military is the most powerful military in WORLD History.

This is the worst take ever. No modern military battalion would lose to a Mongol horde. Your whole premise of them winning is due to the marines being incompetent and wasting ammo out of range. Well what if they aren’t stupid and don’t do that then what happens? Also your second point that a person on foot has little chance against a lancer is also stupid. The invention of repeating riffles made lancers completely obsolete and useless. WWI proved that a man of foot with just a bolt gun was much more dangerous and deadly than a big dumb horse. And modern small arms are much better than WW1 era.
You do realize if they are planning a stationary defense they would most likely have dug some form of foxhole which also includes overhead cover which would render those arrow volleys almost irrelevant.

The Marines in your scenario are acting like idiots. With a few exceptions, Marines aren't idiots. They are highly skilled mass killers. Ask the Japanese.
Listen good video idea but speaking from experience in USMC any officer worth his salt would not let MGs and mortars open up at the furthest limits of range on scouts. Just look at the battle of Wake Island and you could see Marines would sit and wait for their weapons best chance to do the most damage. I am aware that a horse can take a surprising amount of bullets to put down (look at WW1 and WW2) but they ain't standing up to pre sighted mortars and 50 cals that wouldn't waist their ammo like idiots and also you forgot the MK19 which I have never known a marine detachment to leave base without
