People always talk about Release Cu Chulain, but forget that Release Cu Chulain was actually kinda bad, Rage was calculated differently so you could dip below the threshold very easily every time you wanted to transform, the Ult Damage in Rage Form was way lower and you weren't getting the Rage from your allies getting hit.
First patch Cu Chulain was a monster, all those issues got fixed and got some extra power and health. And he began to tear people apart.

As someone who has “taken a break from smite” for maybe like two or three months,I’m curious about this ‘9.5 patch’ that you’ve mentioned. It’s the first I’ve heard about it.
They made it so peopl had more base health by a huge amount and some other shit during season 9
Every god in the game got a huge health buff and base protections. Essentially it made everyone tanky and iirc they reduced power from items.

20:52 Yeah most recent event like that I had was a few weeks ago basically at the end of the match where a teammate asked me to "buy rop". Initially I assumed they were asking me to buy an item but couldn't figure out what it was. They then elaborated that they wanted me to kill myself and figured out that they meant "rope" for that purpose. These kinds of people have far bigger issues than just being awful at these games I swear.

Can you make a starter guide video for conquest and explaining like when to rotate and just overall objectives. I know other smite content creators already probably have a guide but I enjoy your “casual”ness and just wanna have fun but I also want to know what to do so some try hard is not spamming me to uninstall

Just started playing smite (coming from pred) feels like smite could take some ideas from pred and vice versa both are fun to me but smite def feels a little less streamlined imo

Am i the only one who thinks that corrupted blue stone is just straight up better in most cases?
The only thing that Brooch has over corrupted is the percent health dmg, but even that falls off once your enemies are at like 60 - 40 % HP and then corrupted does more dmg, gives up to 25% prots, 50% attack speed (which can easily make up for the proc damage difference as well) and 20% attack speed slow on enemies, while Brooch has no equivalent for any of that.
corrupted bluestone takes way longer to tick and ends up doing way less damage overall. brooch is really good for just generally increasing ability damage, corrupted is more focused on the attack speed reduction and self buffs
It’s a 9.5 thing
What 9.5 did, made it possible to survive early game against high pressure gods in every lane. So you could actually pick a late game god or a teamfight oriented god. Now when they revert it, you have to pick 2 or 3 meta Gods with highest pressure in every role or you will auto lose the game. 9.5 wasn't the right way to fix this problem and they had to nerf those high pressure charcters or bring comeback mechanics earlier but 9.5 saved the game back then, numbers don't lie game was losing so many players.
the player base tanked by 30% in 6 months after 9.5 man lmao, I've looked at these exact numbers recently. The game had issues but 9.5 was just a scuffed fix that added more issues.
@@MastYT that's true, and I can't say this for sure but in my opinion if 9.5 wouldn't happen, that drop would be like 50 to 60%. But we never can know, maybe it would become better, I'm just saying before 9.5 after playing like since season 6 i think, I was thinking about quitting smite for good, but with 9.5 and after it i have been playing consistently and enjoying the game. Also, I'm not so sure again but i think after mid season patch till January of next year, smite players always drop. It's kinda like a trend, but I'm not so sure. I just feel backliners need some help surviving just a little longer to at least push their buttons. I understand position is important but as an average casual player, I don't want die for one mistake and then lose the game of that. Maybe they should buff back comeback mechanics or something but losing the game sub 3 or 4 minutes isn't enough to me, maybe it's fun to you as you are a good player and usually you won't lose, usually you go against players who aren't as good as you. But it's always 50 50 or even 60 40 for me, and just one mistake will lead to unwinnable games. There is that argument that I just need to get good, it's fair but it's only fair if it'd ranked. 95% of smite playerbase haven't played one single ranked game and I feel 95% is bigger than 5%, I think.
@@rezaassaran4179 if you look at the steam player charts you can see a small boost in players excited to try 9.5's release and then one of the largest player count dropoffs of all time just one month after so I think the drop was specifically due to 9.5 and people have just forgotten that slowing down the game so much felt really boring, even if it was safer. Getting one-shot at the time was only common with a few OP gods, and there have been nerfs to them and their items since then so it should be a healthy change, it'll just take a little fine tuning.
@@MastYT well I just hope game gets to a place that the most people possible enjoy it, there will be always different opinions and different taste, but I love smite and I want it become a big game. If reverting 9.5 makes a lot of people happy, who am I to be selfish and try prove others wrong, I will try it and if I didn't enjoy it, it will be like all my other loved ones I lost haha.
buffing frostbound to it's current state is one of the more baffling changes hirez has made recently. originally with 10.1? they changed it to the current passive where it is on a timer but with an aoe, so that you cannot slow people permanently. but now they make it so you can slow permanently, but also it has an aoe as well, so it is currently just a stronger version of an item that they specifically changed because it was problematic and unfun to play against.
