NO people wear Ralph Lauren because they see celebrities wear it and the price, do not lie. IF you saw USPA first your story would be backwards. I just watched 8 videos back to back on USPA and the common factor was "look USPA is $15, that's cheap, real polo is $85"
When uspa was made it wasnt a clothing company, it was a club, ralph lauren was the original polo. Uspa didnt come out with polo clothing until the 80s or 90s.
If you really wanna get into it, the original POLO was Lacoste, then Fred Perry. After their brand took off, everyone else started copying. USPA is older than Ralph Lauren and made some stuff of their own but didn't go into world wide manufacturing before Ralph Lauren took off. It took USPA a while to standardize and properly market their stuff. Ralph Lauren protected his design since the get go. You could make an argument that Ralph's business making helped the USPA spread their own network and compete on the market. His brand grew quicker and is considered as more luxurious.

this fight between 2 brands is just so useless, if you like ralph lauren wear it! If you like Uspa wear it? Whats the problem? It's like accusing Puma for copying the animals... really... My friend from school wears pure ralph lauren. He said that those people who have enough money and have enough self-confidence, they wont even bother whining about those who wear for exampel uspa. no people wear ralph lauren because its genuine quality material and is 1000000x classier than uspa....uspa would be presintable if it wasnt cheaply made
although uspa is the official brand for united states polo since 1890, polo ralph lauren's clasic designs and style paved the way for the otherwise unknown exclusive uspa brand, so yes most of the designs and branding style are very much similar to the ralph lauren look, in otherwords mr ralph lauren has invested millions to promote his brand and style and yet uspa wich was then unknown is now benefiting from polo ralph lauren's fame and success
@waitandbleed1464 yeah put a uspa polo in the washing machine and it already starts fading and tjhe matietial get brittle, really you get shT you pay for, i got 3 yea old RL polos that still look brand new
There are now at least few more brands like that connected to a polo club and suing each other for stealing the pony idea... That said I like other polo logos more than RL . RL will always remind me these rich and dumb kids who were always wearing RL ;)

uspa is not fake it is its own brand just like addidas isn't fake because nike is better there just two different brands. i wear ralph lauren though
