Glad the kids had school off! This is a once in a lifetime type of thing to happen especially in this city haha. Glad everyone had a good time, if I didn't have to work I would have been down there with them.
My teacher said kids shouldn’t be out. Of school for like a little thing of people just looking at each other because it took a while to get to the actual parade part and stuff and she said a waste of time but she still put it on the board for us to watch because our school was not out for the parade

It’s a world championship, something that many teams or towns never get to see and this is our first in 20+ years. For one day of school I’d say it’s worth it to give the kids the opportunity to experience this moment and have this memory for their whole life.
I'm 33 now, but I've waited 26 years for the Braves to get a World Series title! Atlanta REALLY needed this championship. This doesn't belong to the city of Atlanta alone, but it belongs to the entire state of Georgia and the entire Southeast!

Atlanta Dream, Atlanta United, and Georgia Swarm do not get any attention at all in Atlanta at all. Atlanta United(MLS)( 2018) and Georgia Swarm (NLL)(2017) have both won League Championships. Also Atlanta United also ranks ninth among the futbol club teams around the world for attendance, still no love at all. It's about the Falcons, Braves Hawks and Georgia Bulldogs, which isn't even a professional football team. Anyway Go Braves!!

So disappointed in the coverage of this parade. Didn't know who was in what bus, camera feed quality was poor and choppy. So much pointless jabbering by the media members instead of letting us hear the fan environment. I mean it's 2021 and you can't get a better production than this?
Chuck Peterson should be totally ashamed of himself for using the most vulgar, crude, epithet over a loudspeaker in a stadium filled with kids. Simply horrible and unacceptable. What is the organization going to do about this outrageous offense? What a miserable example he set and embarrassed the team and Atlanta. Get him out of here.
Martha, I'm 65 years old and never heard my parents speak in that manner...my friends' parents either. Language like that wasn't used in movies and didn't show up in print. Nevertheless...by the time I was 8 years old, I knew every curse word in existence. Sheltering your children from the outside world doesn't prepare them to deal with the reality and harshness that they are certainly going to encounter as they get older. Please remember that it isn't the responsibility of everyone else to raise your children...it's yours.
