We got two different new takes on the three-headed Cerberus design back to back--Kaneko's in this game for Lupa's atma form, and Soejima's in Persona 3 for Koromaru's persona. They're both slender, short-furred kind of Doberman-looking but still quite distinct. Every other SMT and Persona game has something similar to the old lion-headed snake-tailed design (usually with one head, although Strange Journey and SMT4's versions have three heads). I wonder why they didn't continue with either of the new ones.
Full disclosure: this is my favorite version of Cerberus in all of Megaten. Also remember the heads = Press Turns thing he has going on here, it's going to be abused later with a certain pair of bosses.
In terms of design, I'd say this is probably either my second or third favorite design for Cerberus. Imo, Koromaru's version probably has the perfect design. Soul Hackers is the other one that's either 2nd or 3rd, mainly because I haven't been able to see it in-game, only as the key-artwork. I guess, for me, the demonic design traits kinda hold a design like this back overall, even if it fits for the specific game it's in

Its only a real issue when companies get the "bright" idea to outright replace talent with AI. I'd also say Akala Island's trials as well, but one could make the counter argument that it's on the second Island and thus you'd already know type match ups. Also something kinda funny I realized. I'm kind of surprised this game doesn't get more graphic considering how brutal Nocturne could get at times. It wasn't afraid to show blood, some occasionally gruesome deaths, and *that* moment when a certain Reason Rep gets their power. You'd think this game would have gone a bit more gory and gruesome if they were fine showing that stuff in Nocturne. 9:03- Yeah, he sadly went berserk. 9:04- At least the music here is good. 9:12- Oh, that's a pretty cool fire effect and the lighting it causes. 9:37- Ah, so that's why the song can't be used as an out. Sounds like it has to be done pretty much near the start of when someone goes berserk or they're screwed. 18:08- Goodbye Lupa... 18:46- And thus Gale finally accepted his emotions after seemingly not awakening to them earlier. In other news, a busy day for me. It did meant I didn't get to grind as much on the final day of the Semester-Edison Festival in MD (only at 79/100, but I'm confidant I'll max it, even if I waste time for Vengeance). At the very least, I got to enjoy some matches with the final deck I wanted to mess with, Quickdraw Dandy. Didn't get many wins, even my last match was a lost, but I still find it a fun deck even if I now hate facing it. But yeah, that event was fun for the little it lasted. Next few days will be back to the normal boring and miserable grind, but at least I had a break. Once it's done though, I go back to Vengeance without being impeded.
The atmosphere is quite well done here. I am surprised they didn't show more pools of blood later in this dungeon. It looks like this is what they were saving his demon form for. He will be missed just because he wasn't trying to kill us until he went berserk. Let's see what he is capable of now he can comprehend things. At least you had some fun with that event even if it ended on a downer. I wish you the best with the grind as well and hopefully can continue to have fun once you are back with Vengeance. As for myself, I did find the time for GT4 where I am still training the B spec driver and it seems like I am almost at the half point of getting them to the target skill level. For the Three Houses Randomizer, we prepared for the Holy Tomb by recruiting some characters and that meant two paralogues that were one turns but we did get Thyrsus. For the Holy Tomb itself, Lambert came in to disrupt things by stealing the crest stones alongside Hubert who is replacing Metodey. This map wasn't too bad but then Dimitri lost it when it was revealed Lambert was really Maiden, the leader of the Black Eagles house so she retreats and starts a war. My brother also did his preparations for the next map which included getting Tomas who not only has Twin Crests but really strong base stats and proficiencies so we are probably going to mess around and put him in some kind of sub par class for more fun. My brother also did a preview for the next map showing that Maiden is teaming up with Seteth who is replacing Ladislava and Duke Aegir who is replacing Randolph with Yuri on the left side, replacing Hubert and then the Death Claude on the right side.

They did as I realize you see Lupa's blood drip into the water way after the fight, but given some of the more brutal descriptions on some Brutes' bodies, like you said, you'd think there would be more. Not even just that, but he showed a great deal of care for his men and wanted the best for them and the only tribe he could trust with them. His honor shone through to all and we'll miss him dearly because of it. We shall see indeed. All good. But yeah, going to miss that event. Probably going to resume the grinding tomorrow and have it done within the next few days before the 2nd. Good to hear you're already half way done training up the B Spec Driver. And also good to hear your brother's run go well. But words can not describe how much hilarious is that Hubert, one of FE's most infamous "Why won't you die already?!" characters has now become/replaced some random prick of a boss who dies for good without much fanfare. Wait, did a generic really take the place of a frikin of a main villain? Forget Nemesis's achievement of a bandit in a FE game being a major villain, we have frikin Maiden showing that generics can even be the big bad. That's amazing. Although probably traumatizing for Dimitri thinking his dad was actually alive for whatever reason, only then to find out some random lady has been impersonating him for her own goals. No wonder why he still goes berserk on this randomizer. And there's the second gamebreaker coming in with Tomas. A bit sad seeing Seteth be an enemy this run like with Hanneman. Also Yuri is about to take up Hubert's job which just conveniently became a vacancy last chapter; Wonder why. lol

Let's just say, Maiden is a character who does something on Gronder Field in Azure Moon in the regular game but it is funny that Edelgard gets replaced by a complete nobody in the grand scheme of things. Honestly I'm inclined to agree with you that Gale's awakening would've hit harder if it was Serph. If nothing else, I'm questioning what the point of Serph is.
I think that Serph having the hair and eye colors that he has in this game is really good and showcases a major plot point for Digital Devil Saga 2.
Serph's point unfortunately doesn't become clear until late DDS2, but let's just say it's a big point.
Well consider me for interested in where this story is going.

I enjoy that element of gym 1 in BW as well.
Honestly despite the fact I perfer the Legends Arceus style of open world (i.e you go to areas in order but your free to explore said areas), I have to wonder why they didn't let you challenge the first 3 gyms in SWSH as they are Grass, Water, and Fire respectively.
I'd also say Akala Island's trials as well, but one could make the counter argument that it's on the second Island and thus you'd already know type match ups.
Also something kinda funny I realized.
If Ash fought only one of the Striaton City Gym Leaders, it would be Cilan, not just because of Oshawott being his first Unova starter, but because Grass would resist Pikachu's electric attacks.

0:55- Yeah, the game does a good job setting the tone of this place through the color choice very well. Without it, this place would be a lot more boring.
1:24- You know, something just occurred to me. I'm kind of surprised this game doesn't get more graphic considering how brutal Nocturne could get at times. It wasn't afraid to show blood, some occasionally gruesome deaths, and *that* moment when a certain Reason Rep gets their power. You'd think this game would have gone a bit more gory and gruesome if they were fine showing that stuff in Nocturne.

In other news, a busy day for me. It did meant I didn't get to grind as much on the final day of the Semester-Edison Festival in MD (only at 79/100, but I'm confidant I'll max it, even if I waste time for Vengeance). At the very least, I got to enjoy some matches with the final deck I wanted to mess with, Quickdraw Dandy. Didn't get many wins, even my last match was a lost, but I still find it a fun deck even if I now hate facing it. But yeah, that event was fun for the little it lasted. Next few days will be back to the normal boring and miserable grind, but at least I had a break. Once it's done though, I go back to Vengeance without being impeded.
The atmosphere is quite well done here.
I am surprised they didn't show more pools of blood later in this dungeon.
It looks like this is what they were saving his demon form for.

As for myself, I did find the time for GT4 where I am still training the B spec driver and it seems like I am almost at the half point of getting them to the target skill level.
For the Three Houses Randomizer, we prepared for the Holy Tomb by recruiting some characters and that meant two paralogues that were one turns but we did get Thyrsus. For the Holy Tomb itself, Lambert came in to disrupt things by stealing the crest stones alongside Hubert who is replacing Metodey. This map wasn't too bad but then Dimitri lost it when it was revealed Lambert was really Maiden, the leader of the Black Eagles house so she retreats and starts a war. My brother also did his preparations for the next map which included getting Tomas who not only has Twin Crests but really strong base stats and proficiencies so we are probably going to mess around and put him in some kind of sub par class for more fun. My brother also did a preview for the next map showing that Maiden is teaming up with Seteth who is replacing Ladislava and Duke Aegir who is replacing Randolph with Yuri on the left side, replacing Hubert and then the Death Claude on the right side.

They did as I realize you see Lupa's blood drip into the water way after the fight, but given some of the more brutal descriptions on some Brutes' bodies, like you said, you'd think there would be more.
Not even just that, but he showed a great deal of care for his men and wanted the best for them and the only tribe he could trust with them. His honor shone through to all and we'll miss him dearly because of it.
We shall see indeed.

But words can not describe how much hilarious is that Hubert, one of FE's most infamous "Why won't you die already?!" characters has now become/replaced some random prick of a boss who dies for good without much fanfare. Wait, did a generic really take the place of a frikin of a main villain? Forget Nemesis's achievement of a bandit in a FE game being a major villain, we have frikin Maiden showing that generics can even be the big bad. That's amazing. Although probably traumatizing for Dimitri thinking his dad was actually alive for whatever reason, only then to find out some random lady has been impersonating him for her own goals. No wonder why he still goes berserk on this randomizer. And there's the second gamebreaker coming in with Tomas. A bit sad seeing Seteth be an enemy this run like with Hanneman. Also Yuri is about to take up Hubert's job which just conveniently became a vacancy last chapter; Wonder why. lol

Hubert got a big downgrade this time around. Instead it is going to be the Death Claude and Yuri being annoying in that regard.
Let's just say, Maiden is a character who does something on Gronder Field in Azure Moon in the regular game but it is funny that Edelgard gets replaced by a complete nobody in the grand scheme of things.
We will see if Tomas gets used since we did play a little earlier and Gilbert's replacement also seems solid.
Seteth is a great character normally so too bad he won't be doing much in this run.
