I had no idea items even cost pheons. I was pimping out my character back in tier 2 thinking that all I had to worry about was the gold cost.

i mean thats fine, the items in t2 only cost like 1-2 peons anyway. You can buy unlimited pheons in the crystal shop, so at the end of the day peons literally are just gold, which is why their existance doesnt make much sense as they could just have a higher gold tax but i digress. 100 pheons are gonna cost you 850 crystals, Which at my current server prices of 759 gold to 95 crystals means that 1 pheon is essentially worth 68 gold. So whenever you go buy some accessory in t2 that costs 30 gold in reality its costing you 98. Not really that big of a deal.

I have just been hoarding everything. I mean everything! I have been leveling and gearing just fine. It's a slow process but I'm okay with progression. I switch between 2 games, Horizon Forbidden West and Lost Ark. Between these two games there is a ton of content to do.

I only spent 4, just enoughfor specific legendary t2 accessories I was missing to activate 2 engravings to lvl 3. I knew it was a bad deal because the gear will get replaced but I'm not in a rush and I wanted to at least try to get a sense of how my class plays at t3.

I experimented on the auction house because I wanted to know how the system operated. I bought an earring for some gold and a pheon, and now my total is stuck at 99 pheon and I am very dissatisfied. >:/

Yeah the other day I noticed I had 99 pheon (199 now) and got super suspicious where it went. Luckily I noticed that before I started buying all sorts of stuff from the AH. I feel a little bad for the several dozen accessories I've sold on the AH. All that pheon my customers are losing. :(
Like I know that 25 gold accessory looks nice, but actually that pheon can be considered ~85g in value (at current crystal rates) so it's more like a 110g accessory.

i should've been more careful with buying things off market (not costume) like...I'm surprised I ran out of those things already...i thought the cost of buying was 1 Pheon for each purchase no matter what tier or quality the equipment is (yes I never checked the pheon cost...i only see how expensive in gold it is lol)

Quick question. How do you want us to chill with our gold converting to blue crystal if 2 weeks ago was 300-400 gold was 90 krystal and now over 1k gold? that's just stupid... if you want crystal then buy it now cause later will be more and more!
I started playing very casually this past week (and going forward) because of the ridiculousness in the game between honing-the exploits-the market-the pheon-the bots-the nerfs (I could go on and on but there is no point) I have my main and my 5 alts all to South Vern (in Tier 3 obviously) But now I just go on to do Una Tasks, My daily's, check in at both guilds and doing what's required there, and I log right back off. I do set a timer or two on my phone and come on just to do a handful of events with my buddy's and do things around my stronghold. But the game is rapidly losing its luster and shine. But yea, the pheon cost vs how to get more of it, is just ridiculous. That is something that either shouldn't even exist in the game (especially after the honing cost alone) or we have a way to earn it (Una's Tasks-Events- Merchant) Something other than sell our gold for stupid amounts of gems to buy it, and wait for the monthly log-in to get a joke of a low amount. We push to educate people to have alts (especially free to play players) But then have a joke of a system in place to help them (or even people like me who do spend a little here and there) to get alts to a point in the game where they are giving us a decent return. Try to be a free to play player and dress your alts properly, you cant. (Unless you are a whale or use "other means" to obtain gold then you will never understand the struggle and frustration is real) You will run out of pheon and gold, then what? (at least gold comes easier, if you grind away at it) Whereas pheon does not. The whole marketing system truly is catered and based on spending real money. Period. (But all games are now-a-days, so its nothing new.) Its just a shame. I am done dropping a dime in the game. So, casual player for me it is. Don't get me wrong, it is a great game, its well done, its fun, and it has a great story. Enjoy tier 1 and tier 2 as long as you can, take your time. Because being at tier 3 is where the game really (as you said in the video) is a cocoon state.

Until now (I'm mid tier2), I never saw any reason to buy stuff from the auction house. Can't you get these accessories through drops? Of course it will take time and luck, but I'm ok with taking a little longer and only use the auction house if absolutely needed.
The whole pheons currency is beyond stupid. Not only there's a gold tax on selling items but also we need a currency that is available in the cash shop for ridiculous amount of money. Stupid.
I have 200 still, I also have not opened any chests of coins, except to get the song from Starlight, Guess I'm doing ok..

I did use a few pheons because I wasn't aware that mailing gear from alts to my main was going to cost pheons before I actually did it and I couldn't be bothered staring at an unclaimable and undeletable mail for a month before it could finally be deleted by the system itself :') But not a single one more either because that taught me just about how valuable they are, any transaction that's actually useful costs pheons apparently so I didn't spend them until I know what to spend them on :')
I heard if you mail an item with a delivery cost added it doesn't cost pheon then.
What do you mean by mailing gear? Are you not using your roster storage?
@@dracoslayer16 Well that person was wrong then cus it will cost pheon to claim the items in your mail. I had it stuck for a week before the reward came to allow me to buy my mailbox free lol. Only T1 jewelerry is pheon free but that also counts for the auctionhouse.
*Or actually strike that, do you mean the express mail ssystem? Because I have not tried that. I won't either but I have not tried that if that's what you meant.
@@chau5109 It wouldn't let me put my alts chaos dungeon gear in roster storage. If it would I had done that but since it would cost pheons to mail it I suppose they blocked that option to avoid dodging the cost.

I'm going all in on gold to blue crystals... because they costed me a little over 500 gold for 95 in the beginning it's over 800 now and I'm afraid it's going to go over 1k soon.

When the game first came out NA, crystals were like 100:95. Used that to get the skin with crystals for super cheap. Now its like 700-800:95, so you're right. I wouldn't buy the skins now with crystals.
@ZealsAmbitions how bad is it to use the sailing chests for these (separate) things?
1. Buying Legendary crew for like 4k sun coins
2. Converting those chests via sun coins to pirate coins
I've been holding them unless absolutely necessary like getting the 4k sun and eventually when I need a huge stack for the Astray.
Hold on to them, there are merchants who sell the Collectible Items that have far more value when turned in than crew members are. Unless you have them all already. And for sure never use them to buy pirate coins, Una's Tasks and island quests give sick amounts of pirate coins.
This entire peon shit shouldn't be excisting in the first place so crazy to be limited

Its not much big issue, if you have 30k for item, 3k more for pheons shouldnt be problem

Man i enjoy this game, im 1325 with 5 alts at 550+ but it feels like everytime i see a new video theres always a new currency introduced that has to do with the cashshop in a way, and its getting really disheartening tbh.

You will have to buy most of them on market as the ones you will drop most likely won’t have the stat+engravings you need

i don't understand why stones cost pheons... like they are not cutted its not certain that u will get a good item... i call peons bs. if you want to avoid buy and sell bots just make items only tradable one time... can't buy cheap t3 accessories (with one engrave that matter) because they cost 15 pheons....
