Thank you for helping to wash away the apprehension I had about taking an engine apart. Seeing someone else do it gives me confidence that I can do it too.
I love the way those engines sound and run, but can't deal with the flow fuel glop and mess. Thanks for the video!
I notice that your OS91 has horizontal screw mountings for the intake manifold to the head, as opposed to diagonal. I believe that may be an OS91 ver 1 surpass.
I have the same engine I acquired but it has the OS91ver2 head which has the diagonal intake mounting pattern for the screws. Unfortunately, the intake manifold for the vers 2 has a diameter of .440 in and the carb for the OS vers 1 has a inner diameter of .400in so I cannot use the vers2 intake manifold on the vers1.
What this means is I either have to change the head to a vers1 (which I cannot find anywhere) or change the carb to a vers 2.
Would you by any chance happen to have a source for the vers 1 head and valve assembly (unless the valve assembly is the same)?
Thanks in advance
At 9:45 into video, I was expecting you to show bearing below cam follower removed. Is that bearing pressed in?
If so , how is it removed (pulled out)

I am stuck with tghe same problem, how did Yiou solve it?
What particular problem are you referring to?
Not able to get the connecting rod off due the rod thru the piston stuck as You says in the end of this video :-)
HEAT, OIL, HEAT. It takes a lot of heat to get the piston pin out of the piston. I have numerous videos where I show the pin extraction, but I do not have the time to go find them for you.
Hey Dave I’m having a problem finding your email address. I need some help with my 91 surpass. Thanks for your response
My email address can be obtained by watching the video linked in the description of this video. I am not going to simply post my email here. Sorry.
Why replace the bearings on such a low run time engine ?
Because that is exactly what the customer requested. That is why.
