Hello HistoryMarche, I loved your video but I have some questions. I recently attempted to do a symposium topic on Williams early life but was frustrated by a lack of general information from any kind of source! I have been wondering how you go about finding information for this topic in particular?
During William's campaign in England. There was a town he besieged who taunted him for his illegitimate birth by hanging cow hides on the battlements as way to mock him for his mother being the daughter of a tanner. After William captured the town, he had several people from the town skinned alive.
