Absolutly true, there is no point bringing fancy gimmicks when we are still fighting these flipflop wearing Turrets with X-ray vision called AI. The darkness of the night will bring us the false sense of security because i'm pretty sure AI will still 360 quickscope us without any problem.
Great questions, stoked you asked about the ammo balance and of course going deeper in the never ending AI mysteries. This was the game that got me to switch off consoles and finally invest in getting the crazy computer. Looking forward to .2 - make shotguns great again!
I know this isn’t exactly priority but I feel like gun sounds have always kind of sounded… idk flat? I feel like a rework on the sound design, particularly around the gun sounds to make it feel more impactful would help with immersion.
The AI hearing and knowing to shoot through bushes is fine it’s the fact that it’s a laser right on you instead of a blind fire that may or may not hit you.
Hoping they fix the ammunition and de syncing issues. Which makes sniping useless, AI tanking nearly entire mags. I will add, I would like to see some sort of ground transportation. I know you are changing the heli system to reduce wait time. I would rather have something faster than walking, but slower than helo to explore the map.
@@l_Iegitas much as it will be cool, I think it will brake the game. Due to coding and other stuff ( I am not a SME in development area). They should make one mission where you need to insert with a RIB, in ban Pa at night. That would be cool.
Very beat around the bush answers. I paid for the supporter edition and I want to back them up but I’m hanging by a thread. If they don’t fix de synch when shooting AI and don’t fix the issues with only using the m4 because it’s the only viable gun then this game is going to get even more backlash. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been one tapped by AI from a good distance through a plentiful amount of visual obstructions while I was using the button that makes you creep slowly because they go off of “hearing”. Imagine that with night raids. It will be hard to enjoy. It’s like the team is trying to run a marathon and they haven’t learned how to crawl yet. Fix the foundation before you start building the structure on it. I hope they fix it and prove me ignorant.
Not sure about the badges as PID's, I'd rather have colored arm bands, maybe if the badges are bright and distinct enough I guess, I feel in the heat of the moment close up people are still going to kill other friendly squads, some people aren't going to want to take the time to look at someones badge close up.
I know the choppers are a big part of the immersion, but I think the performance can be massively improved if the just took them out and made extraction points that just fast traveled you back to base like in other extraction shooters. Those choppers must take a bunch of the games progressing that takes away from performance
I doubt they take that much there's only a few at any given moment...what's probably taking an insane amount is the vegetation the game is just to large and detailed for how far GPUs are rn

No offense to these guys but they're moving way to slow and this game will be irrelevant by the time its ready for a proper release. Hopefully I'm wrong though it's a decent game I just think they released it wayyyy to early.
They released it early because they ran out of development money to pay wages etc, everyone working on it has familys they need to support and bills to pay. Factor in 60+ devs working on a game and what $ that incurs each week in wages etc, its a ... load of money if you don't have Activision etc bankrolling you. If it was COD i'd agree with you, but given its a new ip doing something very different, alot of experimentation testing etc is going to have to take place its going to take alot longer than a 1 year COD cycle, they don't have the same amount of previous gained knowledge resources or money to hire and throw at the game.
Many games have had success releasing with less initial content and less polish. If you have a midrange PC that's less than 3-5 years old, the game runs absolutely fine. People have been saying CoD would be obsolete for years, but sadly it's still going and if that's the benchmark for year over year improvements, then GZW is gonna be fine. Modern game engines and assets mean that the game can evolve graphically alongside the engine. Visuals, physics, performance will all keep parity even if the game is in development for a decade. Unless Unreal goes under or ends Unreal Engine.
They should just ditch the game and go back to mobile game dev. It was silly for them to go for such an ambitious project, i mean theyve already lost 95% of the playerbase and are constantly dismissing the actual problems the community are telling them about the game. Terrible AI, terrible performance, terrible game design choices. Just give it up. The majority of performance issues can be fixed if they just added an LOD slider or just removed the insane amount of high quality vegetation at crazy distances. They know this but they refuse to degrade any of the graphical parts of the game because they think using DLSS and framegen is fine. NOTE: it is not.

Fixing the wrong things is what's kept tarkov and star citizen in alpha/ beta for 10 yrs now
