And it'd be really interesting having the explanation in English; Origins of the Death Dance go to back to the XIX C, when the Black Pest almost killed all the inhabitants of Verges...
+Quentin Browne Dear Quentin. It is quite sad to read this kind of comments for a person that have no idea about History and, I'm sure only see Hollywood's movies. This is the only dance in the WORLD that have more of 500 years and never die. It was not a Dance that was recovered from the history for tourism reasons, but may be you are not interested to read about that. Too old and deep!
You see, Mr. Browne, this is NOT a movie recreation. This is NOT entertainment. This is the real thing, straight from the Middle Ages to the jaw., performed by the people, for the people, to paraphrase Lincoln. It is not a "dance" in the common meaning of the word today, but a religious rite -it is performed dancing, but it is dead serious, like a Holy Mass. Every detail, the clothing, the steps, the drumming, the (lack of) melody, the items the dancers carry, absolutely everything has a meaning. You may share the belief behind this rite or not, but , if you see it life, you cannot help feeling the power of the faith behind the rite. This is specially true when, in the church, usually between 4 and 5 AM, and after more than 6 hours of sacred drama and procession, the dance is performed for the last time and then the dancers bow to the altar symbolizing the triumph of Christ over Death and retire.

💀
Memento Mori
Muy espantoso

Pues es patrimonio de la humanidad😂😂
Yup ...that's as much as I expected form a medieval dance ...except for the costumes boring and repetitive as fuck....
