Beautiful series! Now I’ll make up climate classifications for climates on other celestials: Mercury: Xa (scorching vacuum) Venus: AAAf (scorching runaway greenhouse) Moon: Xb (vacuum) Mars: Bxc (cold low-pressure) at the equator and EBx (carbon dioxide ice cap low-pressure) at the poles AAA means over 400c with significant atmosphere, X means airless, Bx means low pressure, etc.
Today I completed this series with you and I must say I had never enjoyed a youtube documentary series this much. Your commentary on top of the beautiful coverage was so soothing, and I have learned and noted so much along the way. I will always always recommend this to anybody who ever showed interest in learning about our beloved Earth. Thank you so much for your service.
Amazing! I binge watched the whole series. I had already generally mapped out climate zones for a worldbuilding project of mine, but had no way to relate what exactly all the zones meant. Thanks to your series, I was able to refine those zones and get an idea of what cultures would develop in these areas. Thank you so much for these beautiful videos!
Another awesome episode! As beautiful as enlightening! I'm just a bit sad thinking this series is almost ending! I hope you can continue doing more. I've never have seen an explanation of climates such this in my life! And is all the work and effort in it that makes it really awesome, the well selected music for each episode, the drones views are breathtaking and the hyperlapses too and even the way you narrate it denotes a great passion. I'm so glad to have seen this series and interact with you! Thanks a lot!
@@Geodiode Hello! Thanks for reply! Its sounds so good! You've made my day with that news! For sure I'll be tuned awaiting for the next! Hope you have a great Christmas time there and new year brings great things for you! Best regards my friend!!! Keep posted! :)
brilliant job done by this series! very enlightening and knowledgeable episodes, beautifully created. sad thats it ending, hoping some new learning experience to come! great job!! 😀
It’s been a great journey, thank you very much! It was very hard to make myself watch these 12 episodes in three consecutive days and not as one binge-watch; I don’t think I ever enjoyed anything more than this on youtube; it was a very thoughtful, stylish, and informative series on climate, a perfect introduction/summary to the topic, if I may say. Please keep up producing great educational videos! Your fan)
In the timelapse of the summer ice sheets in Antarctica, at around 9:00, is it just me or does it look like the ice is slowly rotating clockwise? Would that be a result of the circum-polar current or am I seeing things?
I'm so mad that why I just found out about this amazing series in 2023, almost 2024 actually. It's been a long time since I marathon-watching UA-cam series. Thank you so much!
Wow this was fantastic! I I have been so interesting in geography and climates recently and these videos have been so inspiring and knowledgeable! I found the intro video and ended up watching all the episodes in one sitting. The music the editing the narration the beautiful sights from all around earth are just all amazing! Very well done! : )
Thank you for producing this series. It was interesting the simlarities across the world while there are differences that aren't very far away from here.
Can you start a new series a little bit more in to depth of ecosystems? For example how rivers shape habitat or whatever. From this point on its just waiting till you go viral, the quality is most certainly there! I enjoy your voice very much as well! Thanks for the time and effort!
Brilliant job - great use of data, NASA imagery and statistics; Well done! It would be excellent if a video could be made explaining the changes in recent years to our climate. Has there been shifts in data? Has precipitation reduced in certain climate zones? Congratulations on presenting such a world-class documentary series.
Although that distance is deceptive, as you'd need an ice-breaking ship and then there's the issue of getting across the sea-ice, with all its boulders/ridges etc. Probably easier to fly!
What an amazing journey, thank you very much, wow. Brilliant work! You prefer youtube membership for support nowadays? I've heard some people get horrible splits with youtube from them.
Thank you. A suggestion for a video is that how the warming has made Budapest a subtropical climate, Istanbul huge varying micro climates and how the savannah is unique or the unique biome of tropical semi arid like in North East Brazil.
I guess it would do - is there any sign of this on the Antarctic ice cap? There are some species on the Antarctic Peninsula where there is seasonal melting of the ice, but nothing should be able to grow if it's iced all year round.

Mercury: Xa (scorching vacuum)
Venus: AAAf (scorching runaway greenhouse)

Mars: Bxc (cold low-pressure) at the equator and EBx (carbon dioxide ice cap low-pressure) at the poles
AAA means over 400c with significant atmosphere, X means airless, Bx means low pressure, etc.
Sun; HaF (hot as f*)
Saturn & Jupiter: HGg (Hydrogen Gas Giant)
Europa(Jupiter's Moon): EFXss (Ice cap world with subsurface ocean)
Uranus: Ig (Ice Giant)
Neptune: SwIg (Supersonic-wind Ice Giant)
Pluto: Xf (Frozen Vacuum)

THIS is why I find Antarctica to be the most intriguing place on the planet.
Freezing temperatures and almost no moisture in the air? A perfect place for overclocking my rig!
I have heard such cold places would be suitable for some serious computing...

Just to think in the winter, you'd have to travel only have the distance to reach Antarctica from Tierra Del Fuego... That's so cool!

even ellsmere island has this climate inland
Not sure if it applies but does the pink algae growing on the snow be considered vegetation?
I guess it would do - is there any sign of this on the Antarctic ice cap? There are some species on the Antarctic Peninsula where there is seasonal melting of the ice, but nothing should be able to grow if it's iced all year round.
Question? How did the two miles of ice get on the icecap if it gets less than 1 inch a year?
Over thousands of years it builds up, since none of it melts.
