    I fly with him at Sky Ranch. The nicest guy there is. I have been flying about 4 years and marvel at his skill level, which encourages me to push my boundaries. I have got to 4 point and snap rolls and look forward to what is next.

      Thank you so very much❤️
      I want nothing more than to inspire others to enjoy this astounding hobby. It's helped keep me sane over the past year, and in a world where one can turn to all sorts of destructive vices, I want to help facilitate this positive outlet for others!
      Thank you again! That means a lot to me 🙏
      Let's keep tryin' hard things!!😁

      Thank you very much! That’s amazing and inspiring! Age is just a number and so often inability is merely an illusion 😉

    That aileron roll to double hammerhead (0:30) was sick mate! That I haven't tried yet.

    I've gotta find a way to turn off that telemetry warning. Very annoying.
    Edit: I don't even know what it's supposed to be telling me. It starts wailing away about two minutes into a six minute flight.

    Sir, this was a great video. I’m into gliders but wanted to fly something small and have fun with. The scenery and no bs music and your calming voice makes me subscribe. You really should do audio books, dramatic audio. Anyway, can’t wait to maiden mine. I’m giving you five stars. Laterrrrrrrr.

    Ok, we got to talk. Lol. I downloaded this last week. Just getting back into the hobby after a huge amount of time away. Like you I need a distraction. That knife edge spin. I can't do it on the sim. Did you alter the settings on the plane in the Sim at all?

    • @roccofilippi1418

      Are you still following this You tube page? I was hoping to get some help.

      Hi friend! It was a loooong winter break. I hope you’ve made some progress and sorry I didn’t help sooner! I did not alter any settings and it actually crosses over to real life very similarly. The knife edge spin, like a few other manuevers is highly dependent on timing and then tail control with the rudder! Let me know if you’re still working at it!

    Do you do any mixes along with expo?

    • @honeywoodhobby
      @honeywoodhobby  3 місяці тому

      Not with this plane! Getting the cg more aft with the 600mah pack stopped the coupling on knife edge. I may need to add some though, as now the weight of foam tac is throwing things off 😂

  • @BaldwinLopezREALTOR
    @BaldwinLopezREALTOR 7 місяців тому

    Question, mine seems to be nose heavy with the 850mAh 3S- even with it as far back as possible. Thoughts on adding weight?

    • @peterfranks7619
      @peterfranks7619 6 місяців тому

      Add a little tail weight, cg is everything. I had a RC member tell me something, anything can fly as long as the cg is good. Illl always remember those words.

    • @DavidRitchie-tr2rn
      @DavidRitchie-tr2rn 5 місяців тому +1

      I use the 600s when it’s dead calm the 850s when there’s a little wind, makes a big difference

    • @honeywoodhobby
      @honeywoodhobby  3 місяці тому +1

      As David mentioned, if you haven’t already, try the 600mah packs and she’ll float like a feather 👍🏼

    I’ve noticed that when the sun is high in the sky and it’s really bright, I lose orientation with the eratix really easily. In fact, today I crashed my eratix pretty badly. I need to find some way to make the bottom side drastically different from the top side so that it stands out. I shouldn’t have been doing what I was doing so low, but still. If I didn’t lose orientation I would have been fine.

    • @honeywoodhobby
      @honeywoodhobby  11 місяців тому +2

      I TOTALLY hear you.
      I've put this thing down multiple times due to exactly that. I've learned (and still learning lol) to keep it away from the sun so it's not shadowed. My son Kayler put his down a few weeks back as well...near the sun came out of a slow loop going away and wrong-sticked it right into the ground.
      As you can tell in some of the videos of the field we fly at, the sun this time of year especially is in front of us, making sunrise and sunset prime times to lose orientation when flying on the sun side. In this video, these flights were in the evening, so I primarily stayed to the east and never had an issue! There were one or two shots where I knife-edged towards the sun, and you can see her disappear into the darkness haha.
      The more I fly it, the better it seems to get though. Especially as I train my brain to read the orientaiton of the landing gear and vertical stab.
      Regardless, there are a fair amount of mental gymnastics during every flight with less than ideal lighting conditions. LOL😂😂
