The introduction "Introitus" was cut out due to a copyright claim. Lyric videos and personal translations fall under fair use, but corporate greed needed to take away that one minute. Apologies.
The copyright duration of composed music is the same as for books, paintings and other literary and artistic works: the author's lifetime + 70 years. Therefore, the musical compositions of old masters like Beethoven (1770 - 1827) or Mozart (1756 - 1791) are all in the public domain and you can freely use them.
@@Heuwelman You are right! But unfortunately, the claim can be made for the recording, the rights of which fall with the orchestra/choir that performed it.

Stumbled on this on UA-cam. Did you know Requiem Dies Irae was used as a character for a video fighting game? His name is Wolfang Krauser from Fatal Fury and Dies Irae was playing as his theme music. 7 foot tall German wrestler noble. Awesome design. Fatal Fury was a Japanese made fighting game series yet its creators were worldly enough to create a character in honor of Mozart. Japanese pop culture exposed a lot of us 90s kids to a masterful work of art.
Mozart is God inspired, only a Godsend person can write this kind of music and make one search for God inside them.He won't be judged during dies illa.He is saved and forgiven for being the intermediate who reveals to us a small sample of God's glory, enough to make our souls kneel and ask for forgiveness.
Couldn't agree more! There's no other man with this level of inspiration. Mozart is god inspired in each and every fiber. Nothing is so inspired like this. Bravissimo! 👏👏👏👏👏

This statue is called “The Lamentation” and was a popular depiction in what would later be Germany at the time and was commissioned to Michelangelo by a wealthy immigrant noble. He had to make Mary very swole to hold the dead body of Christ. It was the sculpture that “put him on the map” as it were. He was either still and apprentice or just coming into his own at the time.

The Pieta carved by Michelangelo. It is the blessed Virgin Mary holding the body of her son Jesus after His crucifixion. It represents agony, grief and strength.
@@katrinat.3032 The Pietà doesn't show signs of the Passion on the face, in Michelangelo's words, he wanted it not to represent agony, but the "religious vision of abandonment and a serene face of the Son." Otherwise, spot on!

Beautiful, powerful, and appropriate for the subject.
The reasoning that the most replayed part is the part with "Tremendous Majesty":
My marching band actually used dies irae for our show, and it slapped.
If they dont play this at my funeral I ain’t dying
