  • This home could easily be a villa along the Spanish or Italian Coast, with its confident, black and white shuttered exterior. Until you notice the giant, Cape granite boulder it’s built against and then the rustic but elegant klompie brick paving and the signature style of Dylan’s work.
The black of the floors is echoed in aluminium shutters, combining with the gold, white and black in the kitchen - for a hint of North African style. While around the corner, light wood, desert sand and burnished orange colours welcome the sunrise, every morning.
Once the sun sets, interest moves to the centre of the house where the timber is more red, light bounces off the reflective décor and these bollard-like cushions are a tribute to the boulder outside.
For anyone passing by, this iconic house in Clifton, Cape Town, has come to be appreciated just as much as the scenery.

Interesting ...in keeping with the integrity & authenticity of the orginal build & yet creating a contrast in colours ,
, textures, tones, reminiscent of the African style of architecture & interiors...
