If we are doing an essay on this and the researcher states the positives about the use of focus groups but not any negatives then can you state from your own research the negatives and the biases from this? I am looking to get higher marks and I am finding it difficult to find good references. What suggestions can you make for me to find good research? Thanks
Alright. It will be great to include in your essay that the researcher used focused groups and the reason for this was given (state the reason). Go ahead to support the reason given with an article that agrees with the reason. To earn the extra point. State that “Focus group is not without its limitations....go ahead and state the limitation and back it up with an evidence. If you think the research could have used another sample size instead of focus groups. State why and back it up with evidence. I hope that helps and I hope you have subscribed.
@@NaijaDentist what does it mean by another sample size. The only other example instead of foucus groups that I can think of are one-to-one interveiws which can be intimidating for teenage students ( the participants in the study).

When critiquing a mixed method research design, you can consider factors like the integration of qualitative and quantitative data, the clarity of research questions, the appropriateness of the chosen methods, and the overall validity and reliability of the study.
I have one more question. In a mixed method research, do I need to mention the data collection and how it was analysed, as well as about the sample that was used? You are very helpful for me, and I am sorry to ask so many questions, but it's very hard to find a framework of how to critique the mixed method research. Thank you again.

I think what Moule does best is to critic the data collection method along with role of researchers and relationship with respondents
