Your homemade version of the TRX is, by far, THE best out there ... I've looked at a lot of them. The fact that your handles disconnect from the main strap makes your system stand apart from most all others, making it much more versatile. I am able to connect BOTH ends of the main strap to ONE handle for single arm bicep curls, or .... even better ... I am able to connect BOTH ends of the main strap to BOTH handles using ONE clip, and do close-grip high face pulls when working my rear delts. I can also connect the ends of the main strap to a Tricep Rope for variations of bicep curls and face pulls. Bravo!! Oh, and the Door Anchor?? So simple, but none of us would ever have thought of that! Absolutely BRILLIANT!! Thank you for sharing.

This is an amazing tutorial!! I've looked at all the others and this is simply the best and the closest to the original system! It works really well although I'm gonna make another more 'heavy duty' version for longer lasting use.
You are a genius mate and I can't thank you enough!!!

Great Tutorial, the only things i would change are:,1. replace the lock-carabiner with a steel ring. 2. The main strap should be minimum 75 centimetres. 3. The straps underneath the handle grips should be 80 centimetres.

smart swedish. good video. very clear instructions. just finished mine off today with the paper clips - i had to find some. bread ties didn't work very well. i used $7 straps from amazon and tennis racket grip on the handles - i had those laying around. also, for perfect pullups i clipped the handles side-by-side on rafters in my room. it hangs off looped rope

Great tutorial, I´ll be going out to get the supplies when the shops open tomorrow. On the subject of knots, there is a knot called a "tape knot" which climbers use for exactly this purpose. My guess is that if climbers use it then it is probably the safest knot for anyone who is worried about smashing their face in. Hope this helps.

Can you do a video on either 'The Stick' the original blue one (used to massage out muscles and recover faster and they work). Or homemade rings, pullup bar to do muscle ups on, or something to do dips on. These would all be awesome and very appreciated!

I will definitely use your design, but I think I'll make everything a bit more heavy duty, cause I don't think it will hold me otherwise (! weigh about 95 kgs!)...

I am, as I type this making a Suspension training kit as well, only I'm using Karate belts, and a doorway pull-up bar thing. Peace.

These are great videos. The only problem I'm running into is the lashing strap as it's going into the handle is already beginning to show signs of wear after just a few uses. Have you run into this?

Made one and use it for a couple weeks.. It was OK but it did not hold-up well and I feel like it can snap on me any minute.. XD So I bought the TRX Force eventually. BUT great video anyway!

made one 5 minutes ago :-} looks really nice, but I'm a little worried about these knots which are in the handles, they have a change of slipping off. Need to find a way to secure them properly, because I cant train 100% then I know that there is a chance of smashing face down :D

Grymt bra jobbat!

oh my god...I stopped at the knot of the handle. This is f..cking dangerous. This know will first decrease the strength of the belt and second will loosen up over time...
Your idea was good but this TRX is very dangerous, really. The greatest risk is that the knot in the pipe will open up over time. Research from climbers has shown that this type of know loosens up a tiny bit whenever you load it and then relax (just like you do with suspension training.

@veloman41 - you'll look like a donk... If you can't afford the money to buy one, it doesn't show a great deal of commitment on your part to begin with.
