Great job and yes we also have a Big Berkey But have yet to put back in service again yet. We are gravity feeding our home through regular garden hoses from our 3500 gallon storage tank 90' in elevation above the home. We just don't feel comfortable using garden hose supplied water so we use bottled water of various types and sizes for now. Yes it is a bit more expensive but we just can't seem to cross that bridge over to garden hose fed water. Once we change over to a permanent food grade supply hose system buried in the ground we will be much happier. The water just spends too much time in 300' of garden hose in direct sunlight. Your installation is very impressive and uses innovation not normally found in the world today.
Great job, guys. Very cool water station. Several years ago, on an Alaska tv show called "Life below Zero," Sue Aikens, who lives alone in the middle of nowhere at kavik river camp, wasn't feeling well. So she connected at least five 9-volt batteries together and attached a piece of silver solder to the + & - terminals and submerged the solder in a cup of salted water for a while to let the silver leach into the water. After some time, she drank the silver enriched water. The next day, she felt much better. She said that whatever cooties she had couldn't live in the presence of silver. I thought that was pretty risky but very cool. So im guessing that uncle sam wants us to support big pharma and buy overpriced antibiotics that destroy our micro biome in our stomach and intestines instead of a very inexpensive home remedy. And to top it off, they classified silver as a pesticide to scare everyone. Just a guess. Lol
Those black flies are all that and more. Been through many seasonal cycles there of about 2 weeks of hell. Be thankful you didn't choose Alaska (and their mosquitos)!
Such nice work! In a related vein, I've always wanted a faucet over my Keurig K-Cup machine so I don't have to carry the container to the sink and back every day. Can we hire you guys? :)
Would like to say that my husband and I are in our '60s and '70s and when we had our home built his uncle was a cabinet maker and he put in the most beautiful oak cabinets that were made in the 1970s they still look great and work great I love what you did with the cabinets and we live in East Tennessee mountains. Love watching you guys
Q - What did Christopher Columbas say to the Indians when the Mayflower landed?
A - Take me to your BERKY ! I'm tired of drinking Sea Water ! 😅
Oops. .I got the wrong ship. It was The Santa Maria :(
😂😂
Wow, you sure do your research, Kathie.
I try👍😊
Damn those definitions are misleading! Thank you for clearing that up!
I love that you repurpose almost anything and the end result is outstanding!
Thank you! I love the challenge of making something beautiful out of what many people would throw out😁

Yes, we agree, water sitting in the hose in the sun is not potable 👍
