This might be rude, but this shows much about how aging Japanese society is...

That comment doesnt make any shred of sense, Tanezaki Atsumi is only 30+ years old... how did that turn into a commentary about ageing society?

@@marianne9221 well, in Japan, there are no electronic cash system, and even atm, those cash machine eve have their own sleep time... in Japan, you are expected to use cash... furthermore, most Japanese people intend to hate change (revolution with times), and as you know now, Kyoto is going bankrupt because of old Japanese people do not want people from anyone outside their territory to enter... with elderly being the majority of Japanese people, the government needs to please these old people to keep their political power intact... moreover, with elderly being the majority of Japanese and the history of Japan, peer pressure is everything... you can watch the video of Shogo, and there is a statistic that shows how much elderly people and children below 12 intend to keep masking policy on eternally... and with peer pressure, even Tanezaki is reluctant to change... probably society around Tanezaki does not change with times, and as a result, Tanezaki is reluctant to change... if Tanezaki behaved anything not normal to people like in her family, she would have peer pressure which was deadly... or shall I say, the deadliest way of bullying... from I have said, it sounds very slippery slope, but yes, it actually has that domino effect going on in Japanese society... you are different, and you are dead or tortured for life... that is pretty much conclusion of Japanese society...

I am Japanese and use cashless payment everyday. It is very rare that I use cash.
It is true that Japan is an aging society, but I don't think it is a good idea to talk about Japan when you don't know much about the actual situation:)
