Hey brother I just found your UA-cam video and I just subscribed to your channel. And I want to say you give me hope. And you give me a Fighting Chance because I have a wall tent and I've been going crazy because I don't see nobody living in one. And now things to your video I know I could do it.
Way cool set up. I didn't have the money to build a deck for mine unfortunately. How do you stop getting water inside from the chimney.? My stove is all rusty from the water that comes inside. Also i was wondering if you have any cool ideas on how to make a cheap deck / foundation??
Niee! How is it in the heat and humidity? I'm building in Ecuador and it's between 70-80 degrees year round with high humidity. I'm wondering if a tent will be too hot in that type of climate.
It can get pretty warm when the sun is shining.. The wood stove brings down the humidity to around 20 or 25 when it's 95 % outside. The fly helps with the heat a bit ... We are going to try a portable a/c unit this summer. See how that turns out.
Well our dog Dexter does a great job of making sure we never see any wild life... I know there are bears and coyotes here because I've seen them on other people's properties. But haven't seen any signs of wild life on our property.
It's from Airdre canvas in alberta. It's a 16 x20 with a 5 foot porch... So 16 x 25 total. The walls are 5 ft plus a 12 inch sod cloth but I raised it up and my walls are 6ft 6 inch.
What about installing a bit of flashing above your electrical panel as a shield in case of water ingress from above? You know…in case Murphy’s law strikes during a bad wind storm or something.
Thats good thinking..I was worried about that but even after the hurricane that hit us..it's been very stable... The trees do block alot of wind though. Cheers.
I've lived like this. It's a lot of work for mom. Many inconveniences. I don't have a lot of respect for the men who think this is "Good enough" especially when there's kids involved. Got your butt moving mister! Your not getting any younger.
Wow you guys did fantastic, I’m really impressed with your setup, keep on trucking guys ,
thanks so much...really appreciate the encouragement.
Looks great everything you need while you build your cabin keep them coming
This is phenomenal! Do you ever have any mice issues of them getting in?
Great job. Looks like heaven
Love the tour. I am taking notes. Thanks for sharing.
No worries ... there will probably be a part 3 about how it was to live in it and things we would change
I am definitely writing notes down. I'm currently in the middle of designing my own little wall tent.
Wow! Nice set up, I live year round in a fifth wheel in the Canadian Rockies. You have it dialed!
Cool I miss the mountains.
How do you deal with the bitter cold there.
@@cabinlife6595 We have a wood stove and burn a lot of wood!
AWESOME SETUP! Does it insulate enough for an air conditioner, like a mini-split? Southerners need to know haha.
What about soot falling from air to canvas...any problems?
Great video....thank you,Sir.....
The place looks amazing!
Nice set up.
Good tour!
So cool you guys!!
thanks.. it's been an adventure.
but so worth it

You know the saying: Home is where you hang your hat. (JF)
You have a nice ideal life. Congrars
Can we guess what you are planning?
Is it a barn for chickens?
Or a bunkie for me to come & visit?
it's not a barn ... yet.
and sorry the bunkie will have to wait till spring... lol
putting your solar components in a shed away from your main living area would be a lot safer.
Nice setup but cats in the woods is not a good decision, they are vulnerable to hawks, racoons, eagles, foxes and just about everything else
Kitties!!!

How do you avoid getting eaten by bears n stuff when you go live out in tents and stuff in the wilderness? Thank you.

Where do you get the water, did you have a well dug?
Nevermind, asked to soon lol
We haul our water ... but will have a well soon
How big is that tent
I've got everything u needs except for that
What brand and size is your tent? Where did you yet it from. I am looking yo do something similar. Thank you
It's from Airdre canvas in alberta.

@@cabinlife6595 I like how you utilized the space and got 3 bedrooms, living and a bathroom. Fantastic job
What are you going to do for freeze protection on your water system?
There is a 1000 ltr blader under the bed.
So we only use the tote until it ftreezes
What about installing a bit of flashing above your electrical panel as a shield in case of water ingress from above? You know…in case Murphy’s law strikes during a bad wind storm or something.
Better put some sandbags on you solar wind might tip it.

U have to be handy in rural areas😢😅
Hi David how are you….
I am good.
I just checked out your Chanel Filcan.
very cool.
You do not have a lithium ion battery. Your battery is lithium iron phosphate or LiFePo4 - a totally different and safer chemistry than lithium ion.
What is the size of your wall tent L X W
It's a 16x25 the first 5 feet is supposed to be a porch area but we turned it into part of the living area.
How do u wash clothes u need u a potable washing machine
Unfortunately the laundmat is our friend at the moment.
