Put your loved ones in their shoes and ask yourself if you would be okay if they were the ones being subjected to those horrors. The US is a great country because of the people residing in it, who do great things. We are lucky to an extent. Ppl are attracted to coming here because it gives them hope. I don’t think illegally crossing our borders but if we don’t figure things out, no wall is gonna prevent desperate ppl who have nothing to lose of crossing.
But to whom much is given, much is expected. We are lucky to still have a democracy. If we didn’t best believe the things happening to these ppl would also become our reality.

There were over 302,034 undocumented migrant entries at the southern border in December, the highest single month ever recorded, breaking the prior record by over 40,000 set in September at 269,735. The Border Patrol's illegal immigrant entry records are being shattered. We are now at over 760,000 migrant encounters since October 1st, making the first quarter of fiscal year 2024 also the highest ever recorded. Thats a population size bigger than Seattle in just three months.
Their "asylum" hearings are set up to 6 years in the future, as they are let into the country to wait. Over 8,000,000 in just the last 3 years.

This is in Texas. Lubbock County Sheriff Office is in the northern most part of Texas. A 14ish Hour Drive from Brownsville.

I’ve heard other interviews too that there are sometimes connections between countries where people are afraid they’d be too easily tracked in a nearby country where the “bad guys” have connections.
