So where is the best place in Yellowstone to find wolves? That is a question that I see often on various social media groups, and the prime place in Yellowstone National Park to locate wolves is the subject of this Yellowstone podcast.
Yellowstone is a vast park, and one thing I have learned over my time in the park is that you can see almost anything at any time anywhere inside Yellowstone! Having said that, it is strange how one part of Yellowstone National Park has become the go to spot for wolf watching.
Wolves were eradicated from Yellowstone National Park in the late 1920's, and it was only in 1995 that the first wolves were reintroduced into Yellowstone. Since then, Yellowstone has become the prime location in the entire world for wolf watching!
You have a much better chance of seeing wildlife, especially bears and wolves, at dawn and dusk, so these are the times of day you should try and be in the park. Remember, though, that is is potentially dangerous to be driving around Yellowstone at night, with all the animals, particularly bison, on the roads.
