  • This is a tutorial for my Daisy Chain petal mesh flower wreath. It is made with all deco mesh. The finished wreath is approximately 20 inches in diameter.
    Supplies:
10 inch box wire wreath form
    Rotary Cutter
    Mat
    Pipe Cleaners
    Scissors
    Plastic Canvas
    Zip Ties
    Deco Mesh of your choice
10 - 10 inch by 20 inch pieces (1 roll 10 inch by 10 inch mesh) for the green ruffle leaves
53 of each color - Either 10 inch by 10 inch pieces OR 10 inch by 10.5 inch pieces for the black and white petals (2 rolls of each color if using 10x10 inch mesh or 1 roll of each color if using 21x10 inch mesh). This will give you 53 petals for the flower part.
24 - 10x10 inch OR 10 x 10.5 inch pieces for the burgundy petals. (1 roll of either 10x10 inch mesh or 21x10 inch mesh). This will give you 12 petals for the center.
I recommend getting 21x10 inch rolls for the petal colors and cutting them down to save a little money on the project :)

Facenating ....I love what you do. Can't wait to try it. I just finished my granddaughter's huge wedding that I have been working on for three months. Praise the Lord it is over and I can start more crafts instead of flowers. But Praise God for love and marriages.

Hi Jen! It's really a sensational design of petals. Congrats to your husband. I do however agree with the name you gave to the design🤭
I don't think it's too time-consuming if you do it the way I've worked out... Ok... you have both petals folded into strips. Instead of twisting and turning in between your fingers, trying to fit them together, all you do is this: Just as you placed a clip to hold the white petal, you place 2 clips - one on either end of the black petal. Then lay it on your workspace - the way you'd rest a pair of headsets. Take the white petal and slide it in the middle of the black strip, and then bring all 4 ends together!!! Now how simple was that!

Question: Have you ever tried making this wreath using zip ties instead of pipe cleaners? Have you ever used a wood burner to cut out your mesh? What other colors have you tried that work well together? Have you ever used a moss green mesh for the leaves? How well does it look?
Now…how much should I sell the finished wreath for since it is so time consuming?
Thanks for this tutorial…I love it!🌺

Thank you for sharing your technique and new petal! It's beautiful! Your video instructions were easy to follow. Might I suggest attaching your plastic center first? I would think your center pieces would be easier to attach if the plastic is on the wreath frame. Just a thought. Thank you again! I've subscribed and saved more of your videos to watch later.

    • @JKatsKreations
      @JKatsKreations  Рік тому +1

The reason I don't attach the grid first is because it gets too difficult to attach petals on the inner ring with it already there. So to save my sanity and fingers I do it last lol 😆 Thank you for watching and subscribing! 😊

    • @JKatsKreations

A smaller size mesh is just going to make smaller petals because the bottom part still needs to be secured with a zip tie or pipecleaners (which is where the waste is). I've tried lol

Attaching the grid in the center first makes attaching petals on the inner ring more difficult. Sometimes I attach the grid first, sometimes after. It depends on what I'm doing and what works best for me for the particular wreath.
