Out of all the cars, you seemed happiest in the manual gt4. So get something manual.

I think the fact there was a lot less talking required in this video to convey the GT3 RS compared to the others says a lot. That said the GT4 still seems very compelling!
This is my favorite video of the series so far. Awesome run with the bikes. That RS is really nice.
The extra toque of the 4.0 makes it feel stronger because the PDK takes a lot of power. That's why the 911r felt stronger because of the lighter flywheel.
I remember you telling me you wanted to keep your GT3 and get a GT3 RS manual if they make one. I think that is an awsome plan, stick with that. Your Sapphire Blue GT3 is the icon of OG you just can't get rid of it.

I don't know if it will be available but Matt wants an RS and he is all about the manuals so if it is ever available and he can get an allocation I think that's the magic combo, reports are there will be a manual at some point but I won't believe it until I see it, I guess only time will tell. Even if it's never offered in a manual the PDK is awsome.
The RS won't be coming in a manual. Just the regular GT3
As the 991.2 RS will have no option for a manual there is only one choice left.
The purest choice: 997 GT3 RS 4.0

The moment when those bikes went by you I KNEW you were gonna chase em hahaha. I did the EXACT same thing in SF last summer in a dinan m4.. your segment there brought me right back. I've watched it 5 times now, thanks for the nostalgia! On second thought.. this video has really made me want a porsche.
The three motorcyclists were an unexpected road event. You caught them because the RS's wide front end traction allowed you to go into the turn faster and hold a higher rate of cornering speed while the cyclist had to brake earlier and slow down to negotiate the turns. This demonstrated how much more aggressively the RS can be driven even by a novice such as your self. The RS was so much better and I agree that within your stated price range it is the Porsche to drool over.

991.2 gt3 manual will give you the best of all worlds- a manual you loved in the gt4, the experience of a 4.0, and improved aero. That's why I'm adding it to my gt4.

Great set of reviews on these cars, man! Arguably the best 'real world / real guy' ones out there. You must be buzzing with the anticipation of getting that RS. I reckon you were always going to end up in that car at some point. All the best with it and keep up the great videos.

You should get a 720S. You have a GT3 already and honestly, think about how much cooler does the Mclarren look in comparison. They look like a space ship on the road. GT3RS still looks like a tall-wing-clad Porsche on the road.
I think you should go for a 991.2 GT3 with a manual gearbox. It would have the manual setup and feel you loved in the GT4, an even better 4.0 Liter engine, and more aero and downforce than the 997.2 GT3RS (Porsche's words). But the 991 RS is amazing as well, I love it just as much. Do what you'd like though, Matt.
I don't know why, but I like the sounds from the GT3s compared to the other 911s and never disappoints. I like motorcycle part, you were really keeping up with them, haha.
Valves on them play a huge part. My buddy's Porsche doesn't sound good until ~3-4k RPM

I think the gt3rs is the best bang for the buck only if you got it at msrp. The 60-75k mark up is ridiculous
I'm certain that the mark up has popped, especially when the 991.2 is coming very soon.
Since you're asking, here's what I would do. In the short term, I would sell the GT3 and buy a GT4 (you seemed to really like the sound of that one along with the manual). Then I would take the gains from that and invest it while waiting for the 991.2 GT3 RS so that you can get the spec that you really want and possibly a manual if Porsche is feeling really nice. I guess what you do really depends on how important the 4.0 noise along with a manual gearbox is to you, but I think this might be one of the better solutions for the interim

What an absolutely fantastic road, did you guys rent it for the day. LOL
Watching your videos in order, the RS sounds night and day better than the Turbo.
The Turbo is for older, retired, low key gentlemen.
Next time you should change the cameras, so the larger view shows the road ahead and the smaller one shows the driver. Would be much more entertaining.

The RS is way too much car for the public roads, more of a race car.

Get the 991.2 GT3. It gives you two things you know you want - a 4 liter engine AND a 6 speed manual option...I think it's a no-brainer!

Great video, love the GT3 and RS. One minor beef. No way a GT3 3.8 "pulls harder" and has "15 more HP, based on headers" than a 4.0 RS. Too much time spent with the Honda crowd, but simple bolt ons are not going to get a smaller displacement 3.8L motor to "pull harder" or have "15hp more" than a car produced by the same company, and is the top of the food chain when it comes to maximizing HP from the factory. Look at how much is involved on the X50/power kits from Porsche, depending on model, these kits are usually around $10-15k (depending on 997 or 991) and they "only" increase the 997.1 C2S from 355 to 381 and the 991 C2S to GTS specs of 400 to 420hp. Those kits are very very involved and far more complex than just bolting on a set of headers. Also, we cant forget that the GT3 is already tuned at a very high level and I refuse to believe that Porsche leaves that much easy HP on the table. Oh, and believe me, I wish these claims were true, it would be the first thing I did to my 911.
Well...you'd be 100% wrong then. I have before and after Dynos. The day before this we did 3 pulls of an RS vs. my car the day before in 2nd and 3rd gears. My car walks away from an RS.
I guess I am confused then as to what you should "get next"? If outright speed is what you are after I wouldn't bother with a 991.1 RS or a 991.2 GT3 and just wait for the 991.2 RS or go GT2 RS. If it is all about the "experience" of the 6MT then prob go 991.2 GT3 6mt, GT3 991.2 touring 6MT, 911R (this would be my pick) or maybe just get GT4 and have fun? I'd keep your GT3 the color is one of the very best. If funds don't matter, get the R. The GT3 991.2 will be simply too similar to yours (besides the 6mt). I guess it also depends on what you could get out of yours. If you got a good price, sell it and get GT3 6mt in manual. Something tells me that the touring and R aren't radical enough looking (no wing) for your taste.
Try to drive a 458 and do a review of it bro! Love the RS no matter what

Instead of the manual GT3 or the .1 RS get a .2 Touring GT3 or like a .1 or .2 GTS and do a street cup conversion with big Cup wing etc
Is another slight difference between GT3 and the RS the rear wheel steering? Not sure how tangible the difference would be driving on roads such as this

Turbo S is quiet but dont let that decieve you. That car is a beast. Probably the fastest in your everyday driving. And dont drive a GTR either. That car hurts feelings.

I don't know what I'm going to do about BMW. My guess is I'll have an E92 again, but now I wonder if going backwards is going to work for me after the S2000 experiment. The new generation of BMWs aren't working for me either. I think it's going to be Porsche or nothing for me.

In your upload with Adam in the gt3 you can see that your car pull a decent amount more than the RS. In my opinion it could be faster

I think if this is you weekend car, then the buckets are the way to go. If you get something like a Touring, then I'd get the 4 way seats. The 18 way is just too many options for me. Just know the buckets are really annoying to get in and out of them.

Impressive! I don't know how much this exhaust cost, but the Toda parts for your s2k appear to be higher quality.
I you don't Matt, but it's difficult to believe. The dyno sheets are 2 years appart, you should have done it the same day or week
