''Tom's gone, he's left the keys in the digger'' COMMENCE FUN TIME!!!
lol
Although Cody do watch yourself around heavy equipment unsupervised. You seem to handle yourself well but do think about safety first. Good build, let's hope the bunker will never be put into use. (except for storage and such)
how do u get planning permission for this haha! amazing
+TheDrummist88 he said in an earlier video
+Jakob Kerber did he? What is the answer?
+Daniel Earl Actually you do not need planning permission for a bunker in the UK, but the size is based on the distance from the house. Look it up
+TheDrummist88 He said he didnt... haha
+TheDrummist88 You apply to the local council. Its a strange request but there have been stranger.
One big issue that would be raised would be about access, because they're all coming in through some farmers field. The main problem with this project would be getting permission to send lorries through there. Most likely will if you slip him a hundred.
When you sell the house... Oh I've also got a bunker
How tf did he get planning permission from the council to do that
Fu*# that matte. Dont be a snitch
Apparently, he didn't until after the bunker was all done. I don't think he cared because he wasn't the one paying for it.
It's better to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
Planning permission is mainly to do with aesthetics with the neighbours so a bunker wouldn’t make much difference.
Do you Brits have to get permission for everything?
Colin, Ultimate multi-purpose place: hang out with your mates; if you and your wife are temporarily on the outs (no couch or dog house for you); wife to spend time with her friends (Come over to MY room addition. Colin only thinks it's his place); most unique spot for your son's sleep overs with his own mates as he grows up! When the apocalypse comes, hopefully not too many neighbors knock on its door. And great until the local building inspectors and by law (code enforcement) officers see the videos. So, how many Pounds did your project cost? Finally, for those into history, I guess that blows away Anderson Shelters from the Blitz! Neat project and keep the videos coming. Cheers from California! Keith
who else here would just use this as a man cave?
Same but I'd store guns in it and beer and boobie trap the entrance so if anyone attempts to enter without me they are guaranteed death!
+Jared C. haha great idea!
+ManyEvy123 ....and a weed garden
Ultimate preparation for Fallout 4 :P
+ManyEvy123 Apparently, that's also what he did with it.
...
If this bunker was bombed... Wouldn't the pipes supplying air to the bunker be destroyed?
This is all theoretical of course, no one is going to bomb this blokes house.
The trap door would also be blown in. That thing couldn't really be used as an actual nuclear bunker, but it's still a pretty impressive project.
Not exactly, considering a shock wave would travel over the door creating low pressure after it's passed over, it would probably suck the door out.
No bunker that can be reasonably built by a civilian is going to withstand a nuclear strike itself. They are meant to protect you from radiation, both the gamma burst, and the fallout.
They're called fallout shelters to protect you from fallout not the actual nuke blast
@@FastPaull actually ?
did you vibrate the concrete at all going in?
Paddys not a good mechanic
That's what I thought
Yeah - if it isn‘t self compacting concrete, it‘s a shame..
The vibration's more about getting air bubbles, or voids, to come to the surface.............
Raymond Ashby if you don‘t vibrate the concrete it will not be as strong as it should...
You should had vibrated the concrete for a stronger final result (removes bubbles). That's how professionals do it Colin, next time you know!
How is UA-cam going to put this in my recommended 3 years later😂🤦🏽♂️
jancok asu
It is really too bad that you can't have a cabinet full of assault rifles down there. (for the zombies, of course)
+delicious fishes He can't? Why not?
+delicious fishes Who says he can't?
Anyway I'd rather a shotgun for that situation...which are legal in the UK with the right license.
+Daniel “G” W This is the UK
You've to wait a good 8 or so months to even get a gun license in the uk, whether it's for a air rifle or a shotgun.
Only assault rifles here are people up at 2am after a bad curry.
+SuperMoose7 You don't need a license for an air rifle. Don't know who told you that but more fool you for believing them.
1:40, that kid already has the Colin Furze grin
Your bunker is awesome!
Guess where all these workers are going when an apocalypse occurs
so.. all they have to do is connect a power line to any metal part and itll cook the people in the bunker?
Nice
Episode 5!!
+Monkey Man next tuesday
+colinfurze ohooohhhhh can't wait!!!
+colinfurze I seen you and you me and the apocalypse cus I seen it 1st do I win somthing?lol
the concrete is so satisfying!
That looks great Colin! That is a lot of concrete. Nice! How long did it take to dry? Douglas
+RetroWeld should have hardend with in a few hours but takes a few days to fully cure.
+brandonhughes7 more than a few days. Probably a month
+Ryan Brain 28 days for concrete :)
3:48 The Finger
why i cant see a concrete vibrator in the video
+Schwarzer Grazer 1909 That's what I was wondering too.
+Schwarzer Grazer 1909 Very wet mix, but yea you still need a vibrator don't you?
'very wet' and 'vibrator' in one sentence, i still wonder how noone has made any kind of joke about that...
You sir are a man of rock n roll. I recommend the band “The Clash”
REJECTED!!!! LMAO
When pooring concrete like that you are supposed to use a vibration machine to jiggle the concrete together and get rid of air pockets.
Yea. And dont talk to master Colin like that.
Imagine his son talking to his friends like
Friend: what’s that?
Son: oh nothing much it’s just my dads underground bunker
Dammit I don't want to wait another month to see the last video. :c
Love you bro..!!
You have shown a part of my future!!
up to episode 3 i was really concerned about 2 things. Why didn't you reinforce the dirt walls with a concrete wall and whether or not you would do something to stop corrosion happening to your steel bunker. But i will shut my foul mouth and let you do your job. Amazing videos ! amazing projects!
isnt that what basically happens in this video, the sides and bottom are filled all around
yep but i hadn't watch it yet. Now i know!
What did this project cost all in?
Sky paid
he should have more subs than other youtubers
I show your bunker project.... it's so so amazing
Please sir, may I have one here in my back yard?
Your son will probably be flying in school with a jetpack
Holy Shit! Amazing. How much did this all cost?! :-/
Dude you are like a kid with a lot of money and I love it
