I hope everything goes well for you inshallah, I didn't have the same problem but I bought a M6 second hand 3 months ago with 28k miles on the clock and I was only 7 weeks in, it just ticked over 30k miles and my rod bearings failed and now it needs a new engine. No one is paying for the damages not the warranty company or the dealership :(.

Such a shame. How can they give you the car back like this, did they honestly think you wouldn’t notice? This is why you should always insist and accept any repairs to be done only by the car manufacturer and not any other garage. The fact that bmw actually approved this garage is also very bad and shameful. After seeing this job bmw should remove them from the approved list immediately. I hope your car will get sorted quickly.

First of all. Allhumdulillah you're okay and your initial reaction to the accident was on point.
Secondly, you should've called up your insurance directly and they would've sorted it out for you. The car is a write off as the chassis has been bent, you can see that easily from the photos. Get a quote from BMW. They'll write a report and they'll charge you too, but you'll be able to claim that back.
Send those documents and recordings of all the defects to your insurance after you've explained what has happened. Use a ruler or measuring tape to highlight panel gaps and inconsistencies.
Even if you went through a 3rd party, they should've never have put it back on the road. Unfortunately, you might have to bring this company up with trading standards as that's malpractice. They've done it to you and they'll do it to other people which puts lives at risk. Insha Allah it'll work out for you. Keep up the good work!

Always go through your own insurance bro. I’ve lived and learnt that lesson. Car should have 100% been written off CAT S. what a joke they only repaired it because it’s at least 50% cheaper to repair it. That’s beyond repair my bro. They repaired it purely because it’s cheaper. You can claim special damages from the third party and your legal cover (if you have it) but honestly you’ve shot yourself in the foot by going through third party. Their only priority is to look after themselves. Been through this situation more than enough times and it’s always non fault. Good luck my bro. BMW or your own insurance would have written it off straight away because it’s not costing them anything.

syed ahmed basically if you’re in a non fault accident and the other driver accepts liability and informs his insurance company he is fully at fault. They will try to contact you and sort out repairs to your car ie hire car bodywork. They’ll promise you the world and deliver on absolutely nothing. So when they offer you all their services kindly turn it down and go through your own insurance company and get your own insurance company to repair the car and put you in a hire car. Third party = only interested in saving their own money and will cut as many corners as possible because they don’t care about you. Your own insurance company = don’t care about the costs as it’s not them or you paying it, and they’ll aim to put you in a situation you were in before the claim.

Or just go to BMW, let them know whats going on & they will sort everything (aslong as none fault). They do this in Sheffield anyway.

Contact the third party again say it's not been repaired to factory standard and see if you can select your own proper bodyshop to fix it up

@@AjmalKhurram get an independant claims assessor in to review all the car repair work. Send the cost of the work to the 3rd party insurer and insist on a BMW approved bodyshop to patch up the work and charge them for your loss of time too. If you have legal cover on your insurance, use it and get an opinion from a legal expert about potentially writing off the car if the 3rd party wont fully repair it to original standard.

Hope u don’t take this in the wrong way as it’s your choice whatever u choose to do but I think you should consider not showing your number plate on any of the cars you drive cos there are some real creepy weirdos in this world with evil intentions and full of hatred. To protect you and your family u should blur the number plate. That video was too scary man, and life is too short to take risks. You can't find someone's address from their numberplate though the dvla will not give that information out unless you have a very good reason
@Jay Son not according to the dvla you cant. They're not just going to give out private info to anyone its a security risk. There's a process you have to go through and you will need a good reason that can be verified.
I agree with you on your 2nd point though with a bit of effort through social media if you really wanted to find his address you could.

For others that are reading never go to any garage apart from the manufacturer. Sorry Ajmal for your troubles. I would get BMW to write up a full report of the botched up repairs, also try to get an independent assessor to come check the vehicle with the intention to write it off. Once something like this happens you can never look at the car the same way again.
My wife said the exact same thing as yours said at 10:55 when My S4 got banged up. I actually refused the repair (from VW) when it was done for similar reasons to yours (but not as bad or as numerous) and I'm very glad I did. It just wouldn't feel the same after its been banged up as such. It may seem petty but its your mehnet and Allah's blessings that's afforded that car and if it's not repaired to the same standard that it was originally built, you'll always know.

You could have gone through third party solicitors who would have sent out a independent vehicle assessor who would have assessed your car, then would have gotten it written off. The third parties insurance company usually repair cars rather than get them written off to save money.

Brother, your are absolutely correct that the car should have been written off. One lesson that should be learnt is when a car is still under manufacturer's warranty you tell your insurance company that you want the car repaired from the main dealer or their approved body repair shop. It's happened to me on a brand new BMW, it happened to my elder brothers brand new Audi. Both cars on on completely separate incidents were repaired and it was perfect.
In your case, now that it has already been sort of repaired I think it's going to be difficult to give an overall cost of what the initial repair cost would have been had it been done properly.
You do have fantastic video footages which would help. I think if BMW can give a report to say that from the evidence showing the original damage they would write the car off then you should ask for money back from the third party insurance and get a brand new car be it the same car or wait for the LCI version to be released.
This car will never feel the same to you.

Someone did the exact same thing to me in my Golf R last month, hit into my passenger side rear end and sent me straight into the central reservation and drove off! Alhamdulilah a friend chased the driver and got his details and stuff. Unfortunately for me, my car is a total write off Cat B and I’ve now got back pains. I understand your frustration regarding the panel alignment from the repairs. I’d refuse the car until all errors are corrected.

Also, i agree 100% that accident repair body shops don't fix cars to their true standard. I'd say get it written off and then buy it back. It's painful seeing this happen to a brand new car, the sh*t thing is insurance is going to hike up like mad, coming from a 18 year old that's already paying too much, anyway enough waffling. For the damage, it wasn't so bad that the car needed to be written off imo. Any respectable garage can get body panels, direct from BMW. The car could have been put back right perfectly however it would have taken some effort. The issue is the repairer in this case. I would reject the car for an unsatisfactory repair, panel gaps and stuff like the mirrors should have been sorted properly, any decent body would have the tools and access to the OEM specs. I know that you can pay a higher excess and choose the repair, a repair by BMW.

Been through this. Insurance company will not write off as the repair process has begun and been paid for. Otherwise they will pay out for the car and the repairs. Best you can do is send your car to BMW to repair properly and get the third party to pay. In my experience after 16 months the Dealership was not able to complete a 100% perfect job. I let it go as enjoyed courtesy cars throughout the whole time. Good luck!

I think I gotta agree with most people on here too bro, the damage is too extensive for it be repaired which can potentially be problematic long term if you keep it. inshaaAllaah once it's declared written off, I'd personally like to see the m8 competition! My BMW was written off a few years ago after being hit from a hit and run even though the damage was significantly less than yours!

Mad respect you're okay and safe bro and hopefully the driver/passengers that rammed you from behind. Only thing I see in my opinion is a rolling drag race setup on a motorway (variable speed) that cars could run from 70mph minimum with very poor vision at night which makes it very dangerous when all 3 lanes are hogged at 40-50mph. Hopefully this will be a lesson learnt and thankfully no lives were taken. God bless

The boot will never close properly now. And if its stalling then it's a MAJOR issue. Keep getting it repaired until you are satisfied. You should have gone through your own insurance. BMW won't be the ones to right it off. Only insurance can do that

Glad to hear you are okay AJ, it's a beautiful car so I hope everything gets sorted. Going to echo what someone said earlier as I used to work in car rental industry, there is no such thing as a BMW Bodyshop (Some dealerships do have them onsite but it's rare), they will always most likely outsource this type of work to a national body shop, such as Nationwide, Lookers and sometimes even smaller local body shops who have a good reputation and have been around for a long time. As you are going through a third party and this is a high performance car it looks like they are trying to cut corners massively which is apparent in the quality of work. Needless to say I am very surprised this was not written off as this looks over £20K's worth of damage, also surprised the airbags didn't go off either, which would have certainly meant it would have been written off but that may just be for front impacts. Either way, I hope you were smart and took out GAP insurance, better still Vehicle Replacement GAP Insurance that covers the cost of the same spec. I would complain to your insurance company about the standard of the work, ask your dealer who they recommend and get it taken there, obviously you want to avoid making a first party claim as this will cause havoc with your premium.
One thing I would say as this has turned into an essay is that this does look a bit suspect, you come across like an honest guy so I wouldn't want to accuse you of anything but the fact that nobody was around and this random car comes out of nowhere, the fact that the other vehicle was recording does seem like you were all racing.
Anyway inshallah this all gets sorted bro, everything is a test and lesson, stay safe.

Always go through your own insurance if the other party is at fault is the lesson to be learnt here. I understand it can be a convoluted process for those who haven’t been through it. Once you’ve had a crash the other parties or third party insurers will be straight on the phone to you so they can deal with that claim. Remember they only have their interest at heart. And if they could get away with it, they’d let Bob who works in a backstreet garage do it for peanuts.

Take it to Quattro Coach works in Luton he repairs all super and hyper cars. Best in the game. Even if it's just a quotation to align everything. Then send that quote to the third party insurance and let them pay for it.
