Don’t worry about what the world wants focus on what God wants. The world puts too much stress on us

There was a time when l served as the leader for a Christian ministry that l felt so out of touch with what was considered normal in my culture. Yet, l was so FOCUSED.💯🎉 I had to beak the mould of my culture.

Amen to plan B being better than plan A due to God’s Grace!!!
What came to mind as I listened was the verse “ whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your heart( might) as unto the Lord”
and in so doing you will discover what He has called to you to do, what fits as Joyce put it. Something else too was something I heard, we are called to “live a life with Christ.” And I found that so freeing. Just live the life before you with Jesus, bring Him into all of it. Don’t strive to fit a mold, just live your life with Him and for Him. He will,use it all and as Joyce said , He will let you know if there is something specific He wants us to do.

I so love these podcasts. I was thinking from the beginning of the podcast, just be and not every purpose is astronomical like many people seem to be looking for. Joyce finally summed it up to just be, and keep moving forward in Jesus. Also, I believe God wants to give us the desires of our hearts and maybe this means we need to figure those desires out. I also know if God speaks to you you will definitely know it is from Him , He doesn't leave doubt in your mind, the message is very precise and clear, this is what I have experienced over the years. Thank You ladies for the podcasts, they really mean a lot to me and so many others. Love and Blesssings to all of you beautiful women.

Jesus gave his life for us so that we could have eternal life. We receive forgiveness for our sins and we won't have to spend eternity in hell, because Jesus paid the price for us. He gave his life for us. Ask Jesus to forgive your sins and believe that his death covers all your sins. Tell Jesus you accept his gift of eternal life. Now you are saved.

You guys should publish that last little bit about spiritual maturity separately. It’s so powerful. The part about God wanting us to do what we want to do, because His spirit is in us and we know what’s right. Trust Him to stop us-when our spirit is right with God. As followers of Christ, He gives us the freedom to do what we want and think.

The most recent and profound revelation God walked me thru. We are trying to hard. “Be Him” wherever you are! That’s our purpose.

My great uncle had a gift of art. He was a talented artist as a young man. But then came WWII and he appeared before the draft board. He told them of his talent but they assigned him to the infantry. The Board Chairman took him aside and said something like, "we try to match talents with needs but right now your country needs soldiers and you would be surprised at how few people have the God-given talent and passion for killing other people."
Our task is to love our neighbor and so the needs of our neighbor come first regardless of how well they match up with our talents and passions.

Early in my walk with the Lord I asked this question all the time of "What is my purpose?" and listened to so many sermons on this topic, read so many books on the topic and talked to and listened to so many people about this topic. I've never got a clear answer for this question and it's frustrated me to no end. This video with Joyce was so eye opening and I wished that I'd heard it 22 years ago. The whole "Find your purpose" message should be done with caution because it causes so many to feel like failures or just hope to oblivion while nothing is, or seems, to be happening. I'd been to a sermon years ago in my early 20's where a pastor said that God wanted to give us good things and that if we wanted a BMW or a Mercedes to ask God and He'd give us one. I'm middle aged now and still have not gotten my Mercedes. That's kind of a joke but I did really hear this in a sermon and it just lent itself to God will give you what you want cause He put those interests in you. Sometimes the Mercedes doesn't come. Sometimes the husband doesn't come. Or the big purpose. What to do then? I'm not sure if I totally agree with Joyce with the "do what you want" message. All things are permissible but not all things are beneficial. Or God's plan for you. So many are waiting for the BIG PURPOSE when in fact, for them, it's not a BIG purpose but a simple life following Christ daily. Can we handle the simple life of following Christ daily if in fact that's all that we're called to do? I think churches need to tread more carefully with the "What is God's purpose for my life" theme cause even in the video there were mentions of feeling let down when the answer didn't appear. It was nice to know I wasn't alone in the frustrations. Thank you again, Joyce, and friends, for the helpful podcast.
Stacy M. You are SOOO Very Right ! ! It's crazy to keep hearing that phase. From preachers Etc. It's even on UA-cam. It makes no sense ! ! I am totally with you on that & Thank God, These ladies experienced The Same thing ! I don't know where this Scripture is I think it's in Isaiah. & I don't know all the words But it's like "Do good , help the oppressed & walk humbly with your God " there's a few more things in There. But I thought to myself, "That's what called Us To do"

I'm so glad to be listening to this! I honestly kept asking God what is wrong with me! And people keep looking at me and judging. I always ask God what does He want me to do, what am I supposed to be doing. I still sometimes feel like I'm in a area of the states that God did not call me to, but trying to tell other people that, I'm the one that's wrong.

It's hard to hear others say " I knew what I wanted to . . . " I always wanted to do this since I was a kid " I don't know why God gives these answers to other people, but not to all. It's quite hurtful

I have listened to Joyce for over 25 years. When I mention to my husband that "Joyce" said this or that he knows that I am talking about Joyce Meyer. Watching her grow in the wisdom of the heart that she shares gives me hope for myself in this difficult journey of life. I love this podcast so much and find myself to be almost giddy when I notice that there is a new episode. These lovely women are all such a blessing in so many people's lives through their willingness to share themselves in such a practical, yet deeply personal and courageous way. Thank you for helping me remember that God desires to love us as we also love others and that it really is that simple. Your respect for one another and your palpable adoration for one another is so powerful and a complete joy to watch and to allow my own heart to learn from. I can't thank you enough. I wouldn't change a thing about how you "talk it out". It's powerful and helpful. Thank you again. And I just turned 60 last week, so it is really special to see where my continual time spent seeking God first in my life can take me as I continue to seek wisdom provided from "Joyce" and others who are powerful teachers of God's word. I am looking forward to where my journey will take me and to get to a place where I am comfortable in the "being" phase of life.

The first 3 years of my ''living with God'' was ''a dead road'' without having a relation with our Father.
It was my own road i walked. But each day i ended with empty hands.
After 3 years i left this road with a sad heart. And all my attention went to a racing game because i did not find a relation with God.
But after 7 months racing and racing and racing ............ God found me. He came to tell me ''i miss you Paul''
God knew all the time i was searching Him those 3 years....... but God also knew that this road ( i ) took wasn't right for me.
After God called me that night..... i went on my knees and gives all my life in His hands.
After that moment He took over my life. He took control over everything i did miss. And the Holy Spirit entered my life.
What a delighted moment that was. A warm glow was falling down on me while i was on the ground telling our Lord that my life is His own now.
This was Juli last year. I follow Joyce 5 months now. And God is with me all the time i watch her video's.
We have very long moments where we talk together about the subjects Joyce is talking about.
