Thank you for pausing to allow us to enjoy the elegant cat! And thank you for being considerate of the cat and crossing the next bridge so that it would not be scared. A refreshing walk!
Just started and it's already super beautiful. Thank you! Super relaxing. Japan is the cleanest country I know of! Never seen any other country as clean as Japan.
I was watching this video, and i fell asleep, I haven't slept like this in ages. Relaxed, calmed, no pressure or thought about what to do next, just sleep
The sense of enclosure and intimacy created by these narrow backstreets, coupled with the possibility of discovering something interesting tucked down any random alley was one of my favorite things during my time in Japan. I was constantly stumbling on little gardens, shrines, restaurant stalls, shops, or paths that were interesting in and of themselves. Japan is a flaneur's paradise.
I lived in Japan from 2010-12 and although it was a relatively short amount of time in my life, it still has such a hold on my heart. I'm so glad I found your channel. Thank you for the waves of nostalgia. It feels so soothing.
I love Japan 🗾. It feels like walking down the streets myself and capturing the pristine vibe of that moment. Your country is one of the best in the world- amazing people and culture. P.S- Your content is such ASMR. ❤ Keep 'em coming
I used to live so close to here. It's so non-obvious, just a footpath along people's backyards. People used to have a hard time finding it. I even had one French couple ask me where it was, when they were already on it.
Thanks for this experience! 💫 sadly, I can't afford to travel, and this video for me was so satisfying to watch - so peaceful. i wish one day i will be able to visit those places
I love the patchwork style of architecture. In Germany people just make everything "new" but boring to the eye. So refreshing to see that they rather have older, raw wood than newer, say plastic type material.
Wow - absolutely amazing. So cool to see you can walk along this path and Absorb the culture, nature and silence except for wonderful birds and the occasional bicycle. I want to go there Notice how the bicycles aren’t locked up ?
Beautiful canal is my favorite: perched on the side of a steep hill, with commanding views to the lower areas at right. The experience is enhanced with the continuous decorative brick pattern and the banked stone wall to the left. Places like this are rare things in the U.S. Sadly, in this country there would be: 1) graffiti, 2) unnecessary commercial advertising, 3) litter. (1:29:19)
Thanks : ) I think I started filming around 4:30 with the idea of getting good light and avoiding the crowds. I actually parked my car near Nanzenji, so I walked the length of the path to the starting point in the dark. I didn't see a single person on the walk over, just a few cats. It was amazing. If you have the chance to go back I'd definitely recommend walking it before dawn.
@@ambient_exploration Thank you so much! If I get the chance, I will defo go explore that early. It looks so serene. Thank you for these videos. Instant subscription
Thanks! As for the camera, I used the Osmo Pocket 3 here set to 60FPS, HLG, -3EV, auto ISO, 1/120 shutter. It was a little too dark for these settings at the beginning of the walk so I walked around waiting for more light but even so I had to use some noise reduction in the first part.
Can't help but curious about the house on 16:38 Is that house instead of having an upper floor it went down? That's so cool! I haven't seen much house like that in any japan walk videos Thank you for this gorgeous vid.
Thank you! It looks like that house might have a "ground floor" that is accessed on the other side. I've seen houses in other areas that are built on hillsides and have street entrances on the 1st and 2nd floors, it looks like that's what's going on here🤔
I would love to come see places like this, but then I learned about Murder Hornets and.....honestly yeah no thanks. I'll watch the videos in the comfort of my home far away from those things. God bless you and others like you for giving us that option.
Thanks! I'm happy to get out there on your behalf, trying to avoid those hornets and other Jurassic insects but I'm sure they'll make an appearance or two one of these days.
Thanks! I think this walk started around 4:30 in the morning so that's why it's so quiet. Some of the roads along the path are open to car traffic, but not really convenient to drive on so there's not much traffic at any time of the day.
Terimakasih : ) I visited Bali a while ago and met a lot of nice folks while touring the backroads of Bali for a week...I wish I was filming at that time, perhaps a return visit is in order🤔🤔🤔
I can't speak to exact numbers, and this is all speculation but my guess is that there are a mix of property values ranging from extremely expensive to somewhat affordable. I noticed one apartment building that looked like it could almost be student accommodation along with the upscale inns and small businesses. One other consideration is that during the day there are often many tourists, so that may reduce residential property values despite the prestige and beauty of the location. I guess this is a long way of saying "I have no idea"😆
Used to live in Japan for 4 years. Nothing beats the quiet and peace during dawn there.
why used to if I may ask?
Very beautiful. This put other countries to shame, not a single plastic trash litter the environment. Clean and healthy.
It is a beautiful area of Kyoto, I can see why the cats and fish like it.
yes it is a shame ... and I know those countries.

the birds chirping, nature sounds and quiet of dawn is something that makes me happy for some reason

The first time I came to Kyoto I walked this path with my wife. Love this place

Visited Kyoto in May, it's my favorite city in Japan, spent 7 days walking around the city, it's very beautiful.
I pray that anyone who reads it feels loved, safe and secure. I pray for physical, mental, affection and spiritual healing for all. Peaceful dreams!

This is one of my favourite places to walk! Nice getting out there so early! (it's a canal that connected all the way to Lake Biwa)
