Very nice build. Thanks! 1. Pain Channeling is pretty good even in the first chapter as it allows to use all of her damage potential instead of wasting some on overkill. So I usually take it very early. 2. The Emergency Injector you can find early in chapter 1 can prevent Indira from falling unconscious once per combat from a bad peril trigger. 3. Predict Downfall is a pretty nice talent that reduces the first dodge of every enemy by a significant amount, scaling with Psy-Rating. Good to ensure that Argenta doesn't miss and one hit is often enough. 4. Unnatural Luck is also nice as it synergizes well with using Forewarning on allies that might get hit. Turning a critical hit into a normal one can prevent a lot of damage.
I am glad there is something slightly deviating from 2 dps 4 officers a bit. I believe they need to buff pyro a bit - seems a bit dented unless you go melee.
I like your Argenta Sniper build a lot, but I was wondering if you might do an Argenta heavy bolter version. It just seems more thematic for her... Thanks for all of your wonderful guides!

Yeah I'm considering dropping idira from my party cause it seems every time I cast a spell with her something really bad happens or at least is very likely too.
Master Tactician's (MT) Press Advantage (PA) + most AOE/single attacks from Psykers or other classes is a very potent combo. Plus, I'm sure with ToyBox or other those Idira-only +7 Psyker Rating (PR) can be added to the MC (main character)

I'm not far enough in the game to test this, but have you tried Psyker's Breastplate heavy armor (Kasballica Mission tier 7) on Idira as well? "Reduces the chances of triggering psychic phenomena by -10%. If any psychic phenomena or perils of the warp manifest, the wearer gains an additional +1 psy rating until the end of combat." Double dip on increased psy rating?!
Most of them so far yes, all on Unfair. As Argenta, Pasqal, Cassia, Officer Merc & Abelard was my main 1st run party. With Officer Psyker MC. Idira is in my 2nd run party at the moment.
great video. i never thought about making her a bounty hunter. I just made her a grand strategist so she could start the fights by buffing and debuffing wouldnt "dark visionary hood" be better for helmet for +15% psy power damage?
Huge Red Flag Warning: It doesn't matter how good Idria is. She WILL cost you battles. Her Perils of the Warp 5% thing will cause serious issues constantly, even at high levels. I have lost more battles to Idria mass stunning / demon summoning then I ever lost to just enemies.
It's why I talk about it in the How to Play section. The good thing is, outside of blowing herself up (which you can alleviate with a Cloak from Act 1), the other effects aren't that troublesome. Demon Summoning is annoying but only for Act 1, after that it's easy to handle them.

It's all about extra Psy Rating from her special Gloves, and then mass spell spammage from Savour the Kill, which translates into more Perils of the Warp = More Psy Rating!
Do you happen to have a main character melee build in the pipeline? I need to restart as a glitch is stopping me from progressing and I dont have a save to reload
I don't know if this is true, but an internet search turned this up "You can find these items inside the Macro-Cannon Chamber in a voidship instance fight before arriving at Janus. "
@@cRPGBro Is it a quest that I would definitely not miss? I traveled to Foulstone, Janus, and Dargonus already but I don't have the gloves. I guess it's possible that I threw them away or the quest hasn't triggered yet.
I’m thinking of augmenting this build to add the psycher’s breastplate (I think that’s its name) but I would need to add heavy armor prof to make that work.
I don't understand what is meant by "exploit" specifically in this context. What does it mean to inflict "exploit damage" ? I couldn't find anything specific about this during the tutorial, or even in the FAQ, nor in discussions on steam and other forums. I don't understand this game mechanics and how it affects anything. I'm used to playing Divinity and Xcom, so I believe I'm not a complete imbecile, but this "exploit" stuff I don't know what does it refer to. Could someone help me please because it seems like a core mechanic and I don't want to go further into the game without understanding properly this.
Idira is an operative, one of the main mechanics of operatives is the analyze and exploit weakness abilities which give sticks of exploits onto the enemies
Must have for any psyker is perk - Subtle Manipulation, I guess it's called. Prevents attacks of opportunity on character who's using psyker abilities in melee. Weird u haven't picked it
my build for Idira was a little different. The real power comes from a little known strategy of... Handing the grox-shitting heretic over to the inquisition for "re-education". Emperor protects.
Another great build. However, why do you pick the talent that boosts your momentum gain if BOTH heroic powers are pretty much useless to idira? I mean heroic acts are free, but talent points are limited. Also Mind Thief seems kinda weak compared to some other talents.
Because the Momentum Gauge is shared by party, so if you hit 175 and pass for example, another ally can use their own Heroic Action instead like Argenta or most importantly your Officers!
@@cRPGBro @cRPGBro Ohhh lol, I have been playing the game for 20+ hours already and until now I had just assumed that it wasn't shared lol. Now it makes sense, thanks. Also would love to know if going for a psyker-heavy party is even a good idea (for a heretic run, say). Any specific synergies between MC/Heinrix/Idira? Unless you have already covered that in your MC psyker guide PS: in Extermination it says "attacks", and it seems like for the most part the word denotes weapon attacks. Have you checked if it's actually applied to your psy powers in the damage log?
What's your recommended party? Idira seems very strong and compliments Argenta. Do I ditch Pasqal and run MC Psyker, Noble, Cassia, Argenta, Abelard and Idira?
It could be, but thankfully even if they change it, they will still allow buffing spells which Idira also excels at, and they are extra sources of +1 Psy Rating with her gloves, the more casts the better. Not to mention more Willpower to Cassia through Mastery of Time & Extra Turns!
They really need to fix the unsanctioned psyker talent and make it so you can get it way earlier than exemplar. Since I wanted to make my main character a heretical unsanctioned psyker. But I can’t really do that unfortunately.
It's hard to imagine that using attack spells during the extra turn from Savour the Kill is intended. Most likely this exploit (Operative pun intended) will be patched out eventually.
Thankfully if/when that happens I imagine they'll still let you use defensive/buffing spells, which Idira also excels at, and are another way of increasing her Psy Rating through more casts and her special gloves!
Take a drink every time a rogue trader build guide says just have a lot of officers lul. Maybe making a build that stands on its own with out pigeon holing everyone wasn't the best way of making a build.
Ummm... you never actually show the gloves. So I don't know what we're talking about. I may have accidentally disposed of them somewhere along the line because my Idira's gloves suck.
When your ass is handed to you on the story mode, these videos are terrifying. I am here just for story, why do I need to think forward in leveling my team even on the easiest difficulty. Help ...
If you want to keep Idira around for the sake of more content on your first playthrough, don't. It's extremely disappointing. You get one extra room in one dungeon, where you get to have a non-dynamic conversation with an unimportant character before a very hard, not very rewarding boss fight. Sell her to Heinrix for 8 Dogmatic points NOW!
@@danielbob2628 End of Act 4 rushes to kill the main antagonist that was completely anti climatic then introduced a villain that you talk very little to. Not to mention ending slides being even more disappointing then WOTR( which no small feat) Companion character quest ranging from meh to ok , don’t get me started on Jae awful stealth mission. With the added salt that they don’t even voice last conversation before the last battle which is downgraded from their previous games Just disappointing all around for the final two acts that soured an otherwise decent experience.
the only good build for IDIRA is to let Argenta realize her dream in making one more hole in this annoying b*** which is players have possibility to do thank the emperor
I didn't like this video. Every time you attempted to explain why something was or wasn't useful, you didn't, you just said "I'm doing this because X, Y or Z on my party already does this thing, watch my previous video to understand why". This video doesn't stand on it's own, so it doesn't serve as a guide. It's bad.

I didnt get which buffs allowed for 1000 damage on act 2. My Idira is dealing just something like 60 at most (just started Janus)
For example, how can you stack so much Analyse enemies damage? Keep giving her and Pasqal extra turns, so it add up? Also, hunting Surge? 70%?
It's all about extra Psy Rating from her special Gloves, and then mass spell spammage from Savour the Kill, which translates into more Perils of the Warp = More Psy Rating!
I gave Idira a cloak that makes her become immune when she takes lethal damage... So she can blow herself up twice :D
Is this build just as viable for the main character? Or would I be going with your officer psyker for main guy?
Do you happen to have a main character melee build in the pipeline? I need to restart as a glitch is stopping me from progressing and I dont have a save to reload
Since the updates the most of the psyker builds don't quite fit in nicely anymore, since you now need to be level 30 to get psy-rating +3
I do have a question for anyone that might know. Where can you find the Warp Conductor Gloves?
Idira's personal quest durint Act 2, it always triggers automatically once I'm past Footfall and around level 19-20 while travelling.
This is probably the least asked for build, but please help us make the space marine useful, lol...
Space Wulf will come in time 🐺
True, but im using her with the assassin passives, same story
Thanks
Glad to help, and thank you so much for the Super Thanks 😃
Me: "HA!! take that!", veil degradates, characters dies and a demon appears there 🤣
I’m thinking of augmenting this build to add the psycher’s breastplate (I think that’s its name) but I would need to add heavy armor prof to make that work.
where do you get the chaos bodyglove? checked sources yet doesn't say where it drops
Would you still build her this way after the latest patch? I understands it hurts her extra turns from bounty hunter
she is lore warp for warp wave ship skill
Weird u haven't picked it
My main issue is that Idira will almost never be close enough to enemies for that to matter.
@@cRPGBro impossible to accomplish, especially against fast enemies, like gene stealers or Drukhari
Oh HELL yeah.
Perils of the Warp Life!
Hello i've a question the boost damage for tactical knowledge work for the all team? cause it said only for the operative
Nope, it's for Operative alone, the Armor Boost is for the whole party.
my build for Idira was a little different.
Unless you have already covered that in your MC psyker guide
PS: in Extermination it says "attacks", and it seems like for the most part the word denotes weapon attacks. Have you checked if it's actually applied to your psy powers in the damage log?
Oh, and the Lightning Arc is a heroic action, too.
Am I the only one that gets wrecked by the overflow damage from Pain Channeling, even though it's supposed to only target enemies ? -.-
How do you get the staff of Mindsight?
I found this online found in the bottomless Pit on the Jungle World planet on the System Speculo. I believe that's in Act 2
What's your recommended party? Idira seems very strong and compliments Argenta. Do I ditch Pasqal and run MC Psyker, Noble, Cassia, Argenta, Abelard and Idira?
who's gonna do your tech/logic checks?
@@SoraJustAGuy Good point...
the bounty hunter spell attack trick seems like an oversight/bug
It could be, but thankfully even if they change it, they will still allow buffing spells which Idira also excels at, and they are extra sources of +1 Psy Rating with her gloves, the more casts the better.
Not to mention more Willpower to Cassia through Mastery of Time & Extra Turns!
Very helpful but I could not find Psy rating 1. Had been removed it?
They changed names of the Psy Rating upgrades to things like Psyker Minoris and such.
They really need to fix the unsanctioned psyker talent and make it so you can get it way earlier than exemplar. Since I wanted to make my main character a heretical unsanctioned psyker. But I can’t really do that unfortunately.
Yep, getting it at 36+ is really disappointing.
"Savour the kill" no longer lets you use any kind of attacking ability.
We love you
Thank you so much!
Is it true that Act 4 is unplayable? I wanted to try this game out but I keep reading everyone is getting bad crashes
I think it's got a lot better now with Patches to help with the quest bugs.
Really hope they don’t.
its extra turn though not extra ap. same as officer using their extra turn with the 2 ap
Fresh Target doesn't work with warp powers, only attacks.
Take a drink every time a rogue trader build guide says just have a lot of officers lul. Maybe making a build that stands on its own with out pigeon holing everyone wasn't the best way of making a build.
I need a ranged pyromancer build. >
Those gloves are broken. It suppose to give a single boost per combat and not stack the... On top the calculations are faulty as well.
The psy rating talent does not appear on my list at all
They changed the name to Psyker Majoris
where do you get the warp conductor gloves?
It's from Idira's personal quest during Act 2!
@cRPGBro why not Warp Surge Brooch ?
It's definitely a good alternative too!
Do Ylriet next.
Also merry christmas
She's here at last!: ua-cam.com/video/l73ovALYdGM/v-deo.html

💕
Woulda be a favourite if she wasn't written as such a Snob.
Yo
Hey there!
Ummm... you never actually show the gloves. So I don't know what we're talking about. I may have accidentally disposed of them somewhere along the line because my Idira's gloves suck.
i am not a fan of warhammer 40k i like old world and age of sigmar more :T
whatever you say
When your ass is handed to you on the story mode, these videos are terrifying. I am here just for story, why do I need to think forward in leveling my team even on the easiest difficulty. Help ...
Such a shame she was such a heretic and had to die horribly by the emperor's will :(
Poor Idira!
To be fair all the companion and main quests in Acts 4 and 5 were very underwhelming.
@@TheGamernews1 I disagree, but I see your point.
Act 5 was underwhelming in its entirety. Seemed like it only existed for the main quest.
@@danielbob2628 End of Act 4 rushes to kill the main antagonist that was completely anti climatic then introduced a villain that you talk very little to. Not to mention ending slides being even more disappointing then WOTR( which no small feat)
Companion character quest ranging from meh to ok , don’t get me started on Jae awful stealth mission. With the added salt that they don’t even voice last conversation before the last battle which is downgraded from their previous games
Just disappointing all around for the final two acts that soured an otherwise decent experience.
the only good build for IDIRA is to let Argenta realize her dream in making one more hole in this annoying b*** which is players have possibility to do thank the emperor
edgy
I didn't like this video. Every time you attempted to explain why something was or wasn't useful, you didn't, you just said "I'm doing this because X, Y or Z on my party already does this thing, watch my previous video to understand why". This video doesn't stand on it's own, so it doesn't serve as a guide. It's bad.
Bait
Did they get rid of some of these abilities and/or rename them? I don’t see some of them listed.
man can you pls make video for Heinrix, how do you build him, tnkx
