Definition: Monologue

What is a monologue?
Mono - meaning singular or one
One perform speaking in a play, or a piece of TV or film, or as part of a theatrical production.
They can be alone (soliloquy) or not, but they are usually uninterrupted.
You can edit pieces into a monologue providing the intention remains the same.
