    Research indicates that fact-checkers can actually correct public perceptions and deter politicians from disseminating false or misleading claims. Fact-checking and fact-checkers are nearly synonymous, just as we should be wary of fake news. There are numerous ways to avoid being duped, especially if you're used to being duped. The most important thing is to know it and not just believe it.
