An insane amount of fun on this Allman Brothers tune. David is such monster player. At the Saxon Pub in ATX. Bryan Austin on drums and Scott Nelson on bass
David makes other people's songs his own in his very special way. I will never forget Storeyville with Malford Milligan. That was one of the greatest live concerts I have ever seen.
There is no funner jam in A minor than Lizzy. It's a classic head arrangement with great tags a breaks. If you can't boogie with your bass, guitar and drums on this tune, you have no soul. The Allman Brothers are legends forever.
I am privileged to have witnessed these two Maestros, on two separate occasions @ Under the Volcano. WOW! Please return soon.., after the scams die off! #2021NewParadigm #BigLove
Hey Carter... man, that was an awesome solo! Very fusion-y; nice choice of notes. Of course, Dave is Dave... he's such a tasty player and a super nice guy.
well I disagree about him being one of the best out there . ? watched your solo loads of times its got all the right stuff in all the right places fantastic work love it
Mr Arrington, what an impressive and inspiring solo-thank you for sharing this! And I apologize but must ask-how are you getting that lead tone? It is one of the best I’ve heard.
Came here to check out Grissom and left wondering who the f*ck is that guy on the red guitar! Holy crap what inspired playing and great lead AND rhythm tone!
Great playing, without a doubt. To me it is somewhat sacrilege to play the ABB on a Strat. I know that is totally backward thinking, especially on an HSS guitar, but I can't get past it.

Loved Storyville
Wow. My favorite part is the way the rhythm section holds it down during the solos.

sweet , well done , love the bass playing great, nobody gives the bass credit, awsome!!!!
Smoking guitar playing here, but the rhythm section are outstanding...
Wonderful version. A haunting song of my youth.
Amazing solo. And you did it while David Grissom was standing on the other side of the stage! Well done.
Thanks Jerry!

Grissom's solo on McMurtry's "Levelland" is one of my fave all-time solos....genius of simplicity and feel

He’s one of the best out there! Thanks for checking it out, Frank!
Carter Arrington great playing!

Loved Mr. Grissom with Storyville.
Great rhythm section!
Yes please! more.
Absolutely smokin'.
This guy was a sub for Dickey Betts in the 1990's for the Allman Brothers band. Thanks for sharing
I can’t stop listening to this version. It’s Killer!
Subscribed....amazingly inspired playing, Carter! I love the mix of feel on the solo and how you are making the guitar sing.👏👏👏
Damn, Carter! You coulda warned us.
Carter... just forgot about technique and gave in to your solo. Really took me out of my head and into my heart. Thanks for the inspiration.
Good Lord, Carter! Who are you channeling? What a solo....
Sounds good. 👍
Just killer
Great playing!

Power! Amp and player
there's a lot of talent on that stage !
my fav kind of music. improv guitar..kick ass players. im in players heaven,, bliss. and bless..with all the bs music around...
I saw Dave play the last concert of the summer in 93 with the Allman Brothers. I also saw Zakk Wylde play earlier that summer as well.
Zak Wylde is just a terrible guitarist… I find nothing interesting about his work…
God damn man...
….and kudos for the bassist..!
Nice work, Carter. 👍🏼👍🏼
Smoldering! Great version.
Well done mates! Bravo! 👍🏻👏🏻
great jam
Nice version

Carter Arrington. Agreed. He's a great player.
Same!
The only two times I ever saw DG play was in the 80’s when he was with Joe Ely….
O.K. @3:24 into this Jam .... this shit gets serious .... Dude
Nice!
Fantastic stuff, mate! Great lines and I like your sound.
Thanks Ben! Much appreciated, man.
dang...too good
At 3:00, the C minor harmonies don't sound right.
Sounds great!
you smoked em
Why one dislike ? Somebody who was lost here ?
Nice solo Carter, how's the gigging in the UK ?
Who is 2nd guitarist? His playing is ferocious!
better than Grissom
Red Strat Insanity....
Grissom is a great guitarist, but Carter, your solo was so much better.. both of my ears thank you… I’m going to be looking at more of your stuff….
Who is the other guitarist? Quite good in his own right....
The guy who posted the video : Carter Arrington
So you just walk into some random Austin club and this is going on?

Excellent guitaring, but this classic song isn‘t complete without that creamy Hammond sound.
Drummer El goodo
I liked the guitarist with the stratocaster better
Chopped Liver on second guitar. No props.
Great playing, without a doubt. To me it is somewhat sacrilege to play the ABB on a Strat. I know that is totally backward thinking, especially on an HSS guitar, but I can't get past it.
try
PRS is lame....
i thought the same till I played one. still not enough for me to buy one though. LOL
